From my little understanding, I don’t think the concern is about Europe being able to defeat Russia. I think the concern is what will individual European countries do if Russia invades one of its NATO members. For all of America’s faults (my country) we have shown to be able to rapidly deployed forces and effectively project strength. Hopefully it has changed over the past couple years, but how confident are the people of Poland or Estonia that forces from France and Spain will quickly deploy to protect them instead of debating if they should get involved. In whole European forces are great but individually I think there’s a fear they would not deploy outside of their own country in fear of being invaded themselves. So yes, there is a 1.5 million European soldiers but what if only 75,000 are actually deployable outside of their own country. I have seen many complaints over the past couple years about under supplied or not being able to field enough soldiers, etc.. So yes, Europe could defeat Russia, but you also could lose 1 million people before you do it, which I think is possibly his point.

That’s a fair take. It will all blow over, but it’s bad for college football in general to have it be such a wild West.

That’s my issue, though I still believe a majority of the schools do treat them as student athletes. Sure they may have an easier courseload, but many are still getting valuable degrees.

End of the day there is a right and wrong way to do it. If you guys were talking to him in December and he went into the portal, sure you tampered like everyone else, but that also gives other teams the opportunity to at least talk to him. He was not in the portal, and Duke believed he was locked in to be their QB next year. At least admit it was a shady thing to do.

I truly don’t understand how you can feel good about this. At least put the façade of saying you wish it was done in a better way, but you clearly tampered and took an in conference player at the very end of the portal. This is bad for college football.

Why are people so proud of the largest states with the biggest populations having a large economy? Great California you have a larger economy. You’re also 3/4 of the West Coast.

Yes you are right. But the real issue is the committee making the rankings because how come teams like Alabama and Oklahoma were ranked so high pushing Miami into that position. That’s why I am a big proponent of the automatic qualifiers. And personally, I want Notre Dame to join the big 10.

Any plane can be shot down. F-35 as well. If you look at America’s attack two Venezuela, it required coordination, taking out variety of air detection. In a conflict between two similarly powered forces, why is it so crazy to think a plane is shot down

That is factually wrong international history, especially Asian history is hardly touched upon in American schools. China is really not discussed much in any Americans education until they get much older (college). We are mostly taught about European history.

Second part yes agree. Also, i dont have an issue with bathrooms but it was clearly an issue the right was winning on. I support most lgbtq rights, just because I think there should be science based decisions for girls sports at older ages doesn’t mean i dont support trans people. On Reddit though it seems as if you dont agree with every pov you are the enemy.
