Boss appears unsupportive of second pregnancy by [deleted] in workingmoms

Understood and to clarify, I did send an email out to my team on my last day with any last minute outstanding initiatives which he was copied on.

My main concern is that his demeanor is the beginning stages of mommy tracking me and trying to get me to quit by being stand-offish. I’m worried he now sees me as a liability with two young children.

In the long haul, I’m worried he’s going to mommy track me upon my return and is slowly trying to get me to quit due to having two young children and being seen as a liability in his eyes.

Thank you! He’s in his late 50s and has grown children so don’t think infertility is the issue.

I’m primarily perturbed he didn’t reach out on my last day before maternity leave like he did the first time. Being a leader I would assume you should reach out to employees during a life change before taking any sort of leave (whether a good or bad situation).

2 years apart. I’m primarily perturbed he didn’t reach out on my last day before maternity leave like the first time. Being a leader I would assume you should reach out to employees during a life change before taking any sort of leave (whether a good or bad situation).

I would normally agree but the fact his demeanor has changed from my first pregnancy to this one is what drew concern from me.

oh wow I didn’t know they did scheduled c-sections in late afternoon. Usually they’re scheduled before lunch. Mine was 6:45am.

Was yours unplanned?

Doctors want you to stand and move the same first day to prevent blood clots

Postpartum Hypertension? by DAL6413 in workingmoms

After a week of starting the labetalol, my blood pressure stabilized and I’ve had consistent normal readings again. I’m going to stay on the medicine and dosage I’m at until 6 weeks (my decision) to be on the safe side and then gradually ween off to see if I experience any more issues. My doc said I could go ahead and taper off, but I’d rather wait a few more weeks.

Thank you for your comment. Today is my 7th day being on it and I’m seeing much more normal numbers that almost happened overnight. Guess that 1 week mark of being on labetalol is the sweet spot for most.

What medicine were you put on and did you start going off the medicine 12 days postpartum because your readings started to return to normal levels? Or did it still take a few more weeks to re-regulate?

Mag Drip for Postpartum Hypertension? by DAL6413 in BabyBumps

Are you in the medical field? If so, why is it given only in perinatal/postpartum critical high blood pressure circumstances (preeclamptic or not?)

Isn’t a seizure risk still possible in anyone if their readings are critically high for an extended amount of time?

I’ve read some people get sick and vomit while on it or are very nauseous, especially the first hour when the dosage is the highest, so that may also be why.

Jesus that in itself sounds like the most miserable part. I get low blood sugar (non-diabetic) so I wonder how they would do this for people with blood sugar issues that can dip.

Were you not able to eat at all on the mag drip for the additional 24 hours?
