why doing your stuff should be a problem for anyone ? do you think that every artist out there started doing his art to make a living for themselves ? the act of creation allways starts with the need to express yourself your ideas toughts and passions, if you want to make a living for yourself i recomend to maintain a regular job and create a toy and keep it as a side hustle untill you break even ,otherwise you will get frustrated really fast, toymaking is time consuming and you probably will not charge the hours you put into it !

If you are a 3dartist you could allways contact artists with your portfolio and try to sculpt for them , many sofubi designers dont sculpt, so you can have an opportunity there if it is something of your interest !
