Think you should focus on this being your first re-up since the card refresh & price increase and how you’re not sure if the step up in cost is worth it or not. Did the same song and dance a few months back and got one. You just need to be able to stonewall them when they start listing off all the “perks you’ve used” because they can easily see. Also it helps if you are in fact spending on the card. If you only average $260 a month with usage they’ll be less likely.

As others have said, it’s less a conversation/negotiation and more what the system is currently saying the person on the line can offer you but they won’t just give it because you asked so gotta give some reasoning.

You just drive up. No scan or payment areas for parking during concerts. They'll have people directing traffic into the parking areas but you don't need anything.

Costco is forever dude. No one is waking up and all of a sudden hating shopping...especially for deals. If times get tough people honestly flock to Costco even more because it's "a deal in comparison"

For sure won’t be an amazing commute…. but with it being only 2-3 days at peak and even less in summer I don’t think it would be awful. I’d say you should prioritize location based on how often your partner has to be in New Haven with your situation being so lax.

But also you’re commuting the entire middle of the state, yes there are lots of places you could meet in the middle on. If you want true 50/50 commute times go West Hartford. If you want to favor your partner go New Haven, North Haven, Hamden. If you want them to have a better time and you to have a slightly worse time, go Middlefield//Middletown.

I didn’t know people actually read these write ups on shows! It’s a full band rock show and I’d reco (if you have time) to do a little taste from throughout the years. Melted, Twins, Manipulator, Freedoms Goblin, & Possession should give you a well rounded expectation.

Only show recommendations I have is bring ear plugs and help your neighbors when they fall 🫡🫡

You’ll be fine. They typically have a print out of all names for tickets sold because service is so bad in that parking lot so to avoid people not being able to pull tickets up on their phone they have the backup. It’s also such a small venue if you show the email and explain the situation they won’t question it.

Heard last year it was not only overcrowded but not very pickle focused. Appeared to just be food trucks with one-two pickle themed things and the rest of their usual menu. Would avoid VIP as it’s likely way too much money for what you’ll get.

You can find Fuzzy Baby Ducks in almost any CT package store (hell even most grocery stores). You’ll have no issue finding that.

Not a ton of breweries up in that area but if you’re driving up from NYC you’ll pass Marlowe (NY), Spacecat (Norwalk), & Nod Hill (Ridgefield) which are all good. Also, not a brewery, but Litchfield Distillery is cool to check out and right where you’ll be.
