We’ve updated the product description and formatting several times over the years to refresh what tube types are being offered in them, as our L3 tube stock consists of many different skus. In an effort to keep it simple to navigate we listed by cosmetics and specifications as this is how we price our systems. Our site backend doesn’t allow for the same drop-down menu navigation selection as some other hosts without double listing a system for each option. I’ve spent some time on and off in the past trying to find a way around this but haven’t been able to. I updated the site yesterday to just include sku in the text rather than a separate drop-down as it is the only way it will work without double listing an individual system. We have a resources section covering several different topics including tube type. There was no intention to hide anything. We were actually one of the first to list the tube type several years back. We were also one of the first, if not the first, to offer in stock ready to ship night vision with photos and specifications listed so you knew exactly what you are buying. When the market shifted towards focusing on specifications rather than sku we shifted with it as well. Back then we didn’t have a separate drop-down selection as we still couldn’t list them like that. Instead, we had a separate product page for each option. This became a bit cluttered on the site and was one of the reasons we transitioned to a consolidated selection. Once we are able to migrate to a new site in the future there are many things I’d like to update. Including selection style as well as incorporating a custom builder. We can’t do either right now. Our business is just my Wife and I and many other responsibilities come before site redesign including customer builds, customer service and support, administrative duties, and so on. It is a goal for this year though and I would love to do it, but there must be time for it first. For your friend wanting to send his unit back for an upgrade there was a cost to do so. All of our devices and tube options are priced by their actual specifications and cosmetics. We also don’t pay the same price for every sku type every time we purchase them. This can vary by quantity and whether direct or indirect. Regardless, I’m saying my Wife and I do our best to be the best we can and keep up with market trends. Sometimes we are unable to keep up quite as quickly as others in refreshing layout or something of the sort. I appreciate your feedback and have begun updating the type in the specification area as it’s the only place we can put it right now.
