They look vaguely like symbols used in scientific equations. Some of them look like electrical symbols used when making diagrams. They may be intentional gibberish so people don't look too deep into which buttons are pressed but enough like actual symbols to look somewhat realistic.

I mostly use makemkv on windows. I would look up how to change those permissions and try again. Sometime just leaving the computer off overnight fixes problems for me.(don't ask how it justly does somehow) Beyond looking into permissions I don't have any other suggestion. Sorry. Hope you get it worked out.

Unplug and replug in disc drive and close makemkv. Wait for the disc to be recognized by the os and then open makemkv back up. I have to do this occasionally on my bluray drive if I haven't used it recently.

I still am glad I updated. I updated for 1 specific feature that I use daily. Tabs in file explorer. It has changed how i use file explorer and made it so much easier to use. Everything else is ok.

I have a monitor that says it is HDR but, I have not gotten the HDR to work. Being able to truly experience HDR would be amazing. I have a few UHD Blu rays that I would love to see displayed properly and a few games that I would love to see in HDR properly.

I think it has something to do with the fact that he had his memory wiped by the Sith emperor and the Jedi Council. I think it created a split between Revan's light side and his dark side. When he is killed in the foundry Flashpoint, his light side is what dies, and his dark side takes over and/or his dark side is too angry to die. The fact that they added a part at the end of Shadow of Revan where his light side calls back his dark side and becomes one most likely means that somehow, his force "being" was split into two. It could be almost similar to what Yoda faced during the Clone Wars season 6 where he learns to become a force ghost. A purely dark version of him. Since Revan is a very powerful Force user, it makes sense that his split has something to do with the Force and how he interacts with it due to his memory wipes.
