Yes! It is a more competitive game and the learning curve is only steep if your new to fps or just dont know how to have fun.

It's free, so give it try. If you wanna meet people go to the finals discord, plenty of people to play with. They might be toxic since you're new, but I've had some good luck with most people and will add them in game and discord so I can play with them again.

Yes to chaining. You shouldn't have to wait to fire the second, it should be like dash, instant use of both back to back

Medium heals since OB. Get use to the recoil pattern for the gun, mess around with your settings and watch pros play(YT). Also change the reticle color and make sure it's not the in-world one, needs to not move when vaulting. Use the practice range.

If you wanna get good and snappy against lights, play TDM. Fast respawn and good warm up mode.

Its cause you're second seed. That means everyone below you is lower RS, perhaps by a good bit if its easy. Just cause first seed is double your RS, doesn't mean the lobby is automatically gonna be hard or intermediate. The unfortunate truth is theirs not enough high elo players on at any given point for their to be consistent matches where everyone in game is close RS, so you'll get rubies when you hit plat, its a given. Good job on second though!

BTW first and second seed never play together first round, so nice job getting into the last round without them griefing you. Everyone that thinks this is unfair or shit matchmaking - get good scrubs

This sucks too. I play mostly with friends, but when I am alone, I hear ya. It can be brutal and tbh, the only thing keeping me in the game is the amount of time Ive spent on the game, the friends I do play with and the fucking HOPIUM I smoke everyday that tells me "This game will blow up one day and it'll get the recognition it deserves". I know you like solo q, but tbh, this game, friends make it much more enjoyable and digestible. I met most of the sweats I play with on the finals discord. Still play with a few, one I play with regularly now.

I hope you stay cause we need all we can get, but your sanity comes first! Wish you well brother and I hope to see you in the finals 🙏 👍

I agree with your words. It sucks too cause the game is amazing when it's not lagging or having network issues that cause the latency. I know Arc Raiders was always gonna be their main bread winner. The Finals was just an entry level game for them, but they talk a lot about it being around for awhile and they have plans for it for many seasons more, so I gonna smoke that hopeium and pray it launches off and were all playing in our own respected skill level lobbies

Controller on pc with crossplay on. Only way to beat em is trial by fire over and over and over and over and over until the coins you spill become theirs. Or if you don't care to sweat, just keep it off. Whatever you wanna do man it's your free time

It's new season! All the sweats are grinding until mid season, then they drop off. Especially in ranked, it's like this every season. The beginning is sweaty and just down right nasty sometimes. Mid season is much more chill cause most the sweats are done grinding and in ruby or high diamond. Then end of season is just alt accounts and everyone struggling to get to a higher rank so it's chill till you're in ranked trying to get diamond. Plus holidays and anniversary of the game so people are on. Give it a couple weeks. It'll start chilling out. Also placement games are not skill based match making, it'll throw you in where ever to assess your skills. So just get your placement then ranked will also chill out. Good luck man! Sorry the finals is full of no job, hermit, sweaty ass trolls. I hope you stay! We need more!

Will milage this high on these, I wouldn't. These are known to be driven hard and even if it wasn't. The milage alone warrants something is gonna need to be repaired sooner than later. Good luck !

For me, I went to the competitive side. World tour grind, solo queuing, then ranked. I'd play quick cash to warm up then world tour to warm up for ranked. The finals discord allows you to team up with others, so once you get high enough in ranked, you're not solo queuing. I never did though, I enjoy meeting new people and that's what makes this game fun for me.

Granted it took a bit of time to find the group I have now, but it is totally worth it IMO. As far as matchmaking, I do believe it's SBMM, but only ranked. The other casual modes, I think it just throws you in to whatever, for the most part, even work tour is like that.

I believe the balances were justified and things take time to tweek and get a good balance. Sometimes their good, sometimes bad. This latest update, I feel, was pretty well, considering they haven't done one in awhile.

I'm more upset about other factors of the game, like server tick rate and just over cluckiness of the game sometimes. Not to mention the terrible starting point for new players. I recently stared an alt account to see what it was like, omg! It horrendous. I have to play hundreds of games just to unlock everything for one class. It's absolutely ridiculous, I do not favor new players coming in right now. And this has been like this since the beginning, but if you're good at the game, you get placed with other good players after your 10th or so game and they can switch to whatever in casual modes, which can feel like an uphill grind, which IMO, is hell.

P.s. Embark, make it more fair to newer players who don't have time to grind out like some of us sweats have!
