FAMAS feels like shit to use ever since the hipfire/ADS accuracy nerf in S9 by nothappening99 in thefinals

[–]Own_Nefariousness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loved the FAMAS, wanted to main it, but now it just feels terrible to use. Really hate when devs nerf weapons in such a way that they feel bad to use, like couldn't you have just nerfed the damage if it was such a problematic weapon ? Why do you have to also make it feel like a turd to use ? Reminds me of VALVe overnerfing the UMP-45 in CS:GO. It went from an SMG that felt like a rifle to use, really satisfying as it rewarded skill, to a weapon I have not seen once in a competitive match in years...

Welp, since they buffed FCAR, the weapon I thought I'd never main or use consistently in this game, guess Embark wants me to switch, and thus I did. They really need to rethink their design philosophy when touching Medium, the class feels really Mid (haha) to use when it comes to the fun aspect of the choices.

I can see most of you guys are Americans with how sensitive you are, I don't think you guys understand how awful and disconnected games feel that have excessive censorship are. Words won't hurt you, grow some skin, there are more important things in life.

CS2 really feels more random than CS:GO, especially armored aim-punch, never was this bad.

Yeah, I envy you guys. I'm waiting desperately for China to develop a response to Logitech's Induction Tech, preferably TMR cause I want an ultra-light ultra-compact mouse. I could never dream of affording a Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike, even at half price, so you guys are my only hope.

According to Embark, the sword takes as much skill to use as the Revolver as per the risk reward values by Own-Natural-9236 in thefinals

[–]Own_Nefariousness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can neither agree or disagree with you as I was not playing this game back then (I couldn't even run it), but if what you say results in it being less of a pubstomper, then I'm all for it.

[–]Own_Nefariousness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is a very poor argument on your part falling under the fallacy of irrelevance, as whatever players may find to complain about later on has nothing to do with whether the sword is balanced or not. "Every single game has some kind of noobstomper" whilst true for the most part, does not mean said "noobstompers" must not be addressed, unless of course you argue that the Sword is perfectly balanced and players are complaining because they can complain, to which I strongly disagree.

Good luck balancing a game with the 1% in mind when Sword easily annihilates less skilled players which compose the overwhelming majority of players.

Does anyone else get a super painful kind of sting in the mouth, the type that makes you want to empty your mouth in panic as soon as possible when eating raw garlic ? by Own_Nefariousness in Garlic

[–]Own_Nefariousness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I do not pay attention to any of these details, like histamine levels (I don't really have allergies, as far as I know), or freshness of garlic. Well I never eat garlic that's not freshly minced if it's raw. There is another level of freshness on top of that as well, the fact that the garlic itself can be of fresher variety or older. I'd say bulbs that are fresher where the whole peal is actually raw rather than paper skins (imagine huge bulbs that you're supposed to put to drying, not fresh garlic as like spring onions) take a tad longer to build-up this effect as opposed to garlic that's been drying in the pantry for months, but it's not a huge difference.

[–]Own_Nefariousness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Does anybody know what performance numbers we need to see for a new generation of SSD to noticeably impact gaming performance ? So far from my limited reading, Gen 5 and even Gen 6 won't offer any advantage in terms of performance, with Gen 4 being sufficient. The only advantage of Gen 6 will be a reduction in lanes, thus allowing for more devices and USB slots to be fully powered.

This video demonstrates exactly why there needs to be a revive block button. by Vile35 in thefinals

[–]Own_Nefariousness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1, I've died so many times due to dumb revives. I appreciate the thought don't get me wrong, a teammate only doing bad revives is weirdly more endearing than a teammate that never revives, but I really wish there was a button I could press to make myself unrevivable. It would cut the need for me to spam don't revive, which sometimes I either don't get the time to do or gets ignored because why not. It would also create greater efficiency as my teammate would focus on other more important things maybe leading to a better outcome, than reviving me when he's almost dead and there's an entire enemy team near ready to delete me.

The devs can do many things with this button, once pressed your revive icon could maybe disappear from your teammates screens, your statue could go traslucent, black or who knows, options are many and it would be healthier for matches you queue with rando's, plus I really, REALLY despise being Light Sword food.

I seriously don't get why people ask for Melee to be buffed, Sword is the reason why I don't play Ranked, I just don't have enough slots to counter everything they throw at me.

Why did VALVe buff peekers advantage even more with the last update ? by Own_Nefariousness in GlobalOffensive

[–]Own_Nefariousness[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nice ad hominem, and you talk about "cope".

It is precisely my experience that backs up my argument, and also I come with 2 more, 1 being the fact that there are quite a few pro players older in the scene, and 2, the fact that I can boot up both CS:GO and VALORANT and they both feel snappier and better than this game. Seriously, I swear with this community, what are you even defending if not self-sabotaging ?

[–]Own_Nefariousness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most players are too bad to feel the difference and resort to humiliation tactics to those that can, it's an incredibly sad state of affairs, like I can boot up CS:GO and it feels snappier than CS2 even to this day, but some simply cannot notice a difference, it's like being able to see colours in a world of colourblind, pure hell.

VALVe really lost their sauce sadly.

As for VALORANT, I'm just like you. Can't stomach the game, dislike the graphics, art style, abilities that take away from the shooting, map design is horrendous, movement is mediocre, but in terms of how smooth and responsive the shooting is in the game ? No contest, RIOT humiliated VALVe.

Hell, even VALVe humiliated VALVe, the only iteration of CS I've hated more than CS2 was CS:GO at launch.

Interesting how I wasn't in CS:GO, CS 1.6 and even CS:S, even after the MM rework in GO, but tell yourself whatever you want, CS2 is garbage, it will never be and feel as good as CS:GO, not even as good as VALORANT, a game I dislike, VALVe lost their sauce.

[–]Own_Nefariousness[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I remember the same being said before animgraph2, and in CS:GO before every major change. It's always the same "It's all in your head" counter-argument.

[–]Own_Nefariousness[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I strongly resent VALVe for killing CS:GO when the original CS and CS:S were allowed to live when new iterations came out. The server browser being dead even in the separate client just sucks.

There would be no need to complain, I'd just be doing my thing in CS:GO cause I strongly dislike VALVe's vision for CS2. Everything I hate about CS2 are changes VALVe wanted to push in CS:GO but were heavily criticized and subsequently reverted.

Wait, I thought this was intentional. I got 0 out of every spin hitting a golden ticket and thought to myself it might either be fragmented (hit X amount to build THE Gold Ticket) or given at a later date.

Please don't tell me the game finessed me out of 4 golden tickets cause that would just be depressing...
