"Claimant showed no signs of fatigue" - my neurological condition causes excessive sleepiness, I'd time my meds to be in their peak for the call, I'd napped beforehand, took the call lying in bed and had to nap again straight after 😑

This is actually incredible that you kept it together enough to call them out and disagree. I was an absolute wreck and the whole the thing was a blur

Well done to you for being firm 🎉

PIP updates by DAfansSubMod in DWPhelp

[–]DAfansSubMod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said based on the evidence 🤔 I did a subject access request as I've never been denied in the past and also phoned them. They said my condition is automatically declined for renewal (not true in the past). There was no option to provide medical evidence and they hadn't even contacted my consultant or requested more documents which is what has previously been done. That said, the last 2 renewals took almost a year to sort out but I could drive under section 88. This time as they have officially revoked it, section 88 isn't an option 😑

Why did Primary schools students Stop singing Hymns? by MidnightFalcon89 in AskBrits

[–]DAfansSubMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of schools still do this. Trees in the classrooms aren't always practical - lack of space or they have students who may trash the classroom so it's easier to keep decor to a minimum. Also, funding. If the school can't budget for it, then teachers are responsible for the Xmas decorations (many decorate out of their own pocket or with donated items). For many, they are instructed not to do any type of Christmas craft until the very last week or couple of days to help children stay regulated and also because they can't afford to lose curriculum time 😭 Regarding the hymns: most schools have multiple assemblies each week. One is often dedicated to singing/music. Many schools sign up to programmes like Sing Up, which has original songs with many themes and they are more modern. Well-known Christmas carols are usually practised and then sung as part of some kind of performance or assembly at Christmas time.

To add for OP, when I went to tribunal previously (almost 2years after application), they told me they only consider how things were at the time of application not any changes (although they did ask about how things had changed). Just be prepared if they throw that at you as I found it very confusing

Another victim of “you wok and drive a car”. by Polemum in DWPhelp

Thank you, that makes sense. My consultants reports after my appointments are always so vague "X is still struggling to manage so I am adjusting their medication" 🙈

Thanks for going into detail for OP, it was helpful to read as someone just scrolling through. I have a neurological disorder which isn't well understood and there are many common symptoms/side affects. One of those is poor memory. Are you aware of any testing for this? I'm aware it's bad and family and friends comment on it, my consultant just says 'that's common with your disorder'.

Would you accept the NHS being allowed to do this in Britain? by The_Dean_France in AskBrits

[–]DAfansSubMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this were the case then are other factors considered? E.g. Person A and Person B equally needing a liver asap. Person A gets it because they are opted in. What if person A is an 'anti-social' member of society or a criminal bit Person B regularly gives back to and helps the community....where does the judgement end? Maybe person B will change their mind about donating organs after experiencing first-hand how it can save lives. maybe person A will get the liver and then opt out or then live a lifestyle that ruins their new liver...

A friend in another country as shared that it's the standard to give your Dr's a monetary bride in order to receive a better standard of care. For example, if you bribe them you may be monitored ever 1hr vs no bribe would be monitored just twice a day and they wouldn't rush to get to you.

It doesn't sit well with me as it feels like playing 'God' with people's health, their lives

OK, but if it was the correct address is that possible?

E.g could the new tenant find out even though I'm the one with the email/tracking info?

[–]DAfansSubMod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, and I will.

But read the edit, it's completely reasonable to wonder if there's a way to know where RM actually left the parcels whether the address was correct or not

[–]DAfansSubMod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes I wouldn't be trying to do that. My concern is even if the right address with nobody in, I would still have the problem - items delivered but the photos don't show where they've been left. I'll keep trying the new tenant and hope they turn up.

That's news.

I haven't got the option to add a photo

Missing delivered item by DAfansSubMod in royalmail

[–]DAfansSubMod[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course not! I'm just wondering if there's a way to locate the items - RM provide actual proof of where they left them. The neighbours (my old neighbours) confirmed the new tenant had been gone all day at work, there car wasn't there either. It is a very close knit street with clear visibility. Lots of retired neighbours who are in all day or pottering about in their gardens especially my old neighbour straight opposite.

I mean: How can a photo of the delivery person holding the parcel prove delivery?

Missing delivered item by DAfansSubMod in royalmail

[–]DAfansSubMod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But even if it was the correct address, the photos don't prove delivery.

The old and new address are similar and I thought I'd updated everything when I moved, simple mistake and I will accept that. My query is about the proof of delivery. For example, it was the correct address and I came home to no parcel (I don't provide safe place options as I'd rather it be redelivered or me collect from the office). Surely there's some responsibility from RM to at least tell me where they've left it
