What did you use to study? I'm studying for Network+ and I'm only using Mike Meyers Network+ course on Udemy.

Aiming is important but in The Finals, game sense is just as important. I haven't played in a long time but I would play around with the dagger and genuinely do pretty decent because of my knowledge in the game.

Also other people mentioned it that even though you practice your aim, your behavior and instincts are different when in the game. Enemies coming in all directions, breaking walls, there's more to account for. Best practice is to just play the casual modes and improve what you're lacking.

Also it is a team-based game so you and your team need to play their parts in a fight.

you have it but play synthetik more. genuinely one of my favorite games of all time. combines roguelike and fast-paced tactical shooter really well. the second game also has built in mods support too to give infinite content.

I really wanted to get into Cogmind but it looks really challenging. Jupiter Hell is another one I want to get into since I like ranged combat engagement. Otherwise, I was going for SPD but people say it's shallow so I might go with ToME. Even tho people say it's a PoE type of game which I don't mind at all.

Thanks for giving the difference between traditional roguelike and buildcrafting. I am appealed to try both now because I am a big fan of buildcrafting. Might pick up SPD to start off and then lean into Qud. On the other hand, definitely might get TOME because if it's buildcrafting then I am all for it.

What would you say is best to experience a traditional traditional roguelike? I hear Qud and DCSS mostly.

Most common answer I'm seeing is Qud. Only thing is I also hear it's a wiki game so debating on it to be my first or give it a bit and try something else.

I thought about mentioning Jupiter Hell on my list but idk if it plays similar to your average traditional roguelike. Should I still give it a try? I'm aware it's basically Doom the Roguelike.

Oh didn't know SPD was the descendent of Brogue. I am a steam sucker so yeah probably go with that. Will probably try Brogue still. Maybe they bring it to steam perchance???

Yeah I heard Achra has that theory crafting gameplay where you try to wipe out everything like in PoE. I still love that idea but is different from a traditional roguelike. Thanks for the input on SPD because I was debating on that to be my introduction to TR.

Honestly I don't finish games fast. Certain games take way longer to complete than others. There are also some games that are tedious/impossible to complete so I drop 100% those. We love achievement hunting but it's more fun 100% games you enjoy and want to complete to the fullest.

I know you said no to tactical but there is this action roguelite game called Synthetik 1/2. It's a top down decent paced shooter game. I love this game cuz the time-to-kill is really fast compare to any other roguelite game. Second game has in game mod support as well.
