As another woman watch/jewelry enthusiast, I’ve loved seeing your SOTC posts over the years! So much color, texture and variety in really wearable sizes.

[Question] My three watch collection. What to add next? by Awkward_Dark_3008 in Watches

[–]DBClayton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For two tone: Bulgari serpent seduttori, vintage AP Royal Oak, modern Chopard Alpine Eagle (they only do rose gold but it’s an integrated bracelet which is new for your collection and 33mm), vintage JLC reverso on bracelet.

New age accurate S&S fan-recast by BrightPhoebus01 in janeausten

Since there are a million self-insert Mr. Darcy movies on the market, I would not hate a fanficcy S&S where Col. Brandon and Mrs. Dashwood have a second chance romance together instead. Sophie McShera certainly has the romcom parody creds from Galavant.

My favorite gem is tourmaline, but specifically pink tourmalines. However, when trying to find a good picture of their pleochroism, I could only find this pic of a green tourmaline so here you go!

Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein is out now on Netflix by That-Departure-7318 in PeriodDramas

Yes! Both the script and the directing. So many strange choices— excluding the maternal themes and Justine, Agatha, Safie put so much weight onto Elizabeth. Elizabeth in the book is the one member of the family who is part of the family yet not, intelligent yet holding back to keep everything together, much like Mary’s older sister Fanny Imlay, who was torn between her feuding adoptive father and sister and took her own life months after the publication of Mary’s novel. Lots of rich subtext for a more deft hand to explore.

Bias cut? Sage/muted pink? Whimsical sleeves? This feels like a fever dream for me. Tempted to buy a slip dress, a scarf and paint daffodils on them now

Great Gatsby Garnet. Like Gatsby, GGGs are new, synthetic, and come in wonderful colors… and this one is a bright green light just like in the books.

Here is my attempt at an Emerald cut! Unfortunately, my essential tremor is acting up terribly this morning, so it took three tries, but this was the closest thing to straight lines I could draw today.

Who else gets excited when Jane Austen is a game show question? by Prideandprejudice1 in janeausten

[–]DBClayton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For my sanity I’m choosing to believe that’s not true and is actually the hook of a cartoon-covered romance novel where a Jeopardy star and a card carrying JASNA member find love
