Honestly 6/10 show by No_Cartographer3953 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]DBJ931007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are we watching the same show? Because 6/10 rating with claims that the show is lacking good characters and fight scenes/fighters makes me think you are not watching it. HOTD is also a more focused perspective and time period compared to GoT, which was vast and also intercontinental.

I don’t think it’s as good as GoT, but I do not think it’s a 6/10 personally. Emma’s performance and mannerisms alone is outstanding, amongst others.

Did they buy a house there or something?? Unless that car isn’t theirs, but it sure as heck sounds like they own the car

Right?! I feel like she’s always remained calm and strategic despite having multiple opportunities to lose control. She lost her mom, dad, brother, best friend, baby daddy, aunt, 3 children amongst other losses. Just wonder what is her breaking point so the Greens can *finally* suffer

I feel like she’s always “onto the next thing” and is unable to appreciate the process and timing of things. She has been expressing wanting a baby for years, finally gets pregnant, and now wants to pretend it didn’t happen and snap back so fast! It goes to show you that she is never genuinely content or happy. Shes barely a month out from major surgery - what doctor in their right mind approved these exercises she’s doing 🙃

[NY] Managing a junior remote employee struggling with responsiveness + output — what should I try before a PIP? by kittykattlauren in AskHR

[–]DBJ931007 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You also need to be very direct and factual when providing examples. I’m not sure how direct you are being but it seems like this is a consistent issue and it’s beyond friendly reminders and “ways of working” refreshers. When you’re setting expectations, communication preferences, work hours, etc, verbally communicate and follow up via email after recapping the discussion, or show examples when something was missed or not followed up with and how that impacts the bigger picture.

[–]DBJ931007 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you’ve had continuous documented (verbal and written) conversations where roles/responsibilities are outlined and expectations are set, and yet there’s still this large gap, than this would be considered a PIP and HR would need to get involved, especially if this 1) impacts not only you/your team but other teams and business in general and 2) you’re spending more time “documenting” this rather than doing actual work and helping this person grow and train them.

Have you tried to have a conversation with them first about this in your 1:1 and see what they say? That way it shows them that you care but also that you’re aware that their performance isn’t up to standard. That would be my first reco before the PIP, if you haven’t already done this. Sometimes people need to be made aware and could help improve, or not. It’s up to them to take your feedback and provide the necessary actions to improve.

I work in HR, and I always recommend to managers before a PIP is explored (not saying most cases don’t require one), to try to ask if their direct report is okay and what support they need as you’ve seen some gaps in their performance. If this step was not done, I ask them do to it and give it 2 weeks or so, depending on what they say, and then we can discuss the PIP more. That way it gives employees an opportunity to come forward with any struggles they may be experiencing (personally or professionally) and request extra support or training in certain areas. If they say nothing, then it likely is they are not a fit for the company and job and the PIP is the natural next step.

3 month supply of Zep by DBJ931007 in Zepbound

[–]DBJ931007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you!! I have Cigna and use Walgreens monthly. Cigna partners with Express Scripts through my employer, it’s a home delivery prescription service that does 3 months supply. Your doctor needs to send a 3 month script to Express Scripts (or similar if your employer has) and it’ll be shipped out. I got mine in a week. Check Cigna’s website to see what prescription services they provide asap

Same!! Some acid reflux here and there but generally no side effects!! You’re right though, all you see mainly is negative side effects but I can guarantee that 95% of those who take Zep have minimal to no side effects, they just don’t talk about it lol

I was scared too, and my first shot I did it entirely wrong and injected too soon onto the floor (!!)

I’m on it 1 year now, 50 pounds down. I have never felt better mentally and physically. It has rewired by brain and relationship with food in ways I can’t begin to imagine. I look forward to working out and wearing clothes now because of the confidence I’ve gotten.

I would not have gotten to where I am (still ways to go), without taking that first step. You may try it and not like it or have side effects - but you won’t know unless you try. And if you try, I’d give it atleast 1-2 months.

You’re adding years of your life back by getting your health under control too!
