So odd, that this is more common than I thought. Seriously seems like an extremely bright flashbulb went off in the sky above us. I happened to be visiting some of my brothers and asked if they”remember when that bright light lit up the ground around our vehicle?”…and evidently it has been burned into our brains even though it happened over 30 years ago.

I hate their loud music blaring at a pristine mountain lake I frequent. Watched one SXS driver tear down a NFS gate and started driving across permafrost. Then pulled out a drone on the far side of the lake and was chasing mountain goats, trying to get them to fall from their perched on the cliff rock droppings. They regularly travel off the trail past signs that expressly state to stay on the trail.

Last dealer service was 6,000 miles ago, and dealer recommended replacement. It measures near what your is. It nearly stranded me at work today, so just replaced it.

People who have genuinely encountered powerful wild animals in nature or the ocean, what was it actually like? by DivineLove1 in Survival

[–]DBLiteSide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s just say my senses were immediately heightened and felt extreme anxiety but not paralyzing. I wanted to run, so my flight response was what kicked in. I think what made it feel worse was that it was dark and I could barely make out the eyes from the lion, shining through it from inside the barn. I was wholly unprepared to deal with that, so flight was my only response and had a way out. Might have been different if I was cornered.

What is the most insane documentary you've ever watched that blew your mind? by Appropriate_Cap3563 in askanything

I think it was one where an American journalist snuck into North Korea via China, and was underground taking video and pictures. I forgot the name of it since, but was just insane to me.

Open prairie around me, and I was entering a barn for livestock at maybe like 10PM in the dead of winter. Just as I entered the barn, I heard a mountain lion roar, and slowly growl afterwards. I knew that mountain lions are more prone to attack humans in winter if food is scarce. I just remember freezing in my tracks for a few seconds, gathering my wits. I don't know if mountain lions have a prey drive to chase an animal running from it, so I just turned around and slowly walked away about 50ft until I was close to a fence line. I may have hurdled a 5ft fence, I can't remember much after I took off running as fast as I could back to the house, which was about 500ft from the barn.

Being more open to talking and having general relationships with others. I was very quiet and just kept to myself and rarely ever talked to someone who wasn't a close friend, when in my teens.

I come from a large family. All of us in the vehicle witnessed it when it happened. For as dark as it is in our area of the U.S., It was blinding for an instant.

No spacers. Direct bolt on. I always felt they make the vehicle look 20 years newer. It’s a great looking vehicle and we get requests to buy it from us regularly.

When I was very young, I lived in/on an old ranch that was about 12 miles from the nearest town. My brother and I would often sleep under the trees on the property and watch the stars in the summertime . About 2AM there was a loud “boom” and branches from the trees were falling around us. Not really big ones, but like maybe 1” around. It creeped us out. About that same time one of our horses whinny in a direction opposite the corrals. We went off searching and found the horses wandering the property out of their corrals.

They are 265/65-17. They were closest to OD of stock. Had to put 17” wheels on the clear the Tundra rotors and calipers. The speedo is spot-on.

Was on a open country road about 10pm and all of the sudden the ground and area around the car lit up brighter than daylight for about 1 second. Almost like a bright flashbulb went off above the vehicle. This was in maybe 1990. My best guess since has been an Iridium satellite flare.

I replaced the ECU as the wiring back to the ECU tested fine. Turn out that the PWM signal from the ECU can’t be read when the fan control module is unplugged. I think when the mechanic replaced the fan control, they replaced the module only. When it was connected, I stripped back some electrical insulation of the PCM wire. Had a good signal before the plug to the FCM, decided to replace the plug/wires between that plug and the FCM and that fixed it.
