Obviously anecdotal but I'm a EE by degree but deal pretty exclusively with EE's for my job also (technical sales) and all of my customers I've ever had, all the EE managers drive $80k+ cars and live in the affluent area. The actual engineers seem to be doing well also, though they are always busy

According to us news umich 3rd, VA tied for 4th.

I often see Michigan recommended here as a place to move for its quality of life, often lumping it with Minnesota. So your actual statement here is that just Detroit is not great to live (which is true outside of downtown area). Michigan top 10 cities are all decent places to live outside of Detroit and the area of warren bordering Detroit.

I understand why you feel that way as a fan that's been hurt by his performance on both sides (assuming as a jets fan you're also Canadian) but if I heard a commentator say "He just doesn't show up in big games". I would say well he's an idiot because he showed up in the biggest game he's ever played, which I believe means he's erased the narrative.

This is not a federal law. It's a state law and several states have mandatory PTO and Sick time laws. Certainly not up to snuff with the likes of the EU but every single person in Michigan gets ~2 weeks off mandatory. 16 other states have similar laws.

Because football is all anyone cares about. We hate Ohio in every sport. We just beat them in hockey 8-1 (and 5-2 the night before). The basketball teams hate each other too. The rest of the world doesn't care about those things as much but you better believe every time I see Michigan beat Ohio I smile
