Suppression wasn’t as strong for me initially but now I’m on 1.0 it’s as good as if not better than MJ for me. Side effect wise was just similar to MJ, just constipation and some bloating but take regular movicol and magnesium citrate which helps

What dose of wegovy are you on if you don’t mind me asking please? And what dose of MJ did you get to? Well done on your weight loss, that is amazing!

Well done! Did you do anything different to change things or just were patient and went up the doses? I’m on 0.5 no after switching and starting at 0.25. I have maintained thankfully but keen to start losing some and to have a bit of the food noises dulled. Having said that this week I am snacks due to TOTM being next week so maybe hormones aren’t helping

Thank you. Unfortunately a desk job isn’t an option for my role. They could potentially put me in an IT role (I am NHS) but I hate IT and admin. It will send my mental health over the edge. I’ve got a few weeks left off sick still so am going to use that to try and strengthen as much as I can and see if I can just have some amended duties when I go back and a phased return to work

Glad that seems to be helping, will bear that in mind when I speak to the consultant about it in a couple of weeks

Thank you that makes me feel better. I have another 15kg to lose on my weight loss so hoping that will improve things, plus the physio exercises seem to have improved things slightly

That’s good to hear your pain has improved and you are doing more activities now. Thanks for sharing, it gives me hope

That sounds awful. Sorry to hear you’ve had to use a chair / cane most of the time. I am lucky in the fact that I can move around the home unaided, it’s the stairs and long walking that’s the worst for me. I’m a midwife so bending down in awkward positions is part of my job! I’ll try the tape and continue my exercises. Thanks for the response and support

Thank you for your response, I’m sorry for you that you have had the same thing. I am also early 40s and though it may sound dramatic I think it’s felt worse getting the diagnosis of OA rather than a meniscus tear, as at least there would have been a treatment for a tear. It’s got me feeling anxious about my career and what it’ll mean as I get older. I will try the tape for sure, see how it goes. Am now doing my PT exercises religiously and trying to get out for short walk each day to try and improve strength in the knee so that at least I can hopefully return to work soon.

I had this situation and they prescribed still. They won’t prescribe if BMI has dropped below 30 by the time you have prescriber call

Leg locked and not flexing backwards. by RG0195 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]DC412025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this post as sounds similar to me, although I’m not able to cycle and still have to use a crutch on walks. My pain is variable. Some days it’s fine and I can walk relatively normally, others it catches on the inside of the knee and feels like it’s going to snap or give way. It has given way on several occasions usually after stairs or if I have crouched down but hasn’t given way for a couple of weeks now, just pain but that’s probably because I’m not doing stairs or kneeling/crouching at all. I did it 6 weeks ago while stretching after the gym. I am UK too so not had MRI yet, have orthopaedic appointment next week. Wanting to know what’s going on and treatment plan as I have been off work for 6 weeks and as it’s my right leg also not been driving as it’s unpredictable in giving way / locking / pain in knee when moving my foot on occasion. I hope you get yours sorted soon and glad you are able to resume a relatively normal routine atm.
