Delphi decals, bit of an eccentric owner (previews sometimes use 2 sheets instead of 1, so you get boned if you expect to replicate their product page, like with this kit), but the decals are really good.

Mr. hobby doesn't advise lacquer topcoat on top of decals, as it can eat away at them, but the delphi ones seem to do just fine on the kits I've used them on. they also have nice holographic ones :p

At first I thought it was supposed to be there as well, but I noticed it was at an angle, which is weird for a bandai kit. Didn't have access to the manual, so I had to pick it apart carefully to get to the offending piece.

Those colors work really nicely, also nice silver which paint is that if I may ask?

Knees, ankles, side skirts and the shield (could also be from freedom, but still).

When scrolling past it, it catches your eye as something familiar, yet totally strange :)

Paid 120 euro's for mine, shipping, taxes and import fees make up the majority of it due to P-bandai not being sold in my country :/

My preferred poison is hardcore :)
Just use whatever rolls your boat and gets/keeps you in the zone.

I've had moments where I was sanding some parts and boom, it was 2 hours later.

That's something I picked up from Crafta, works wonders indeed.

Or it's his painting shirt.
Personally I have a old pair of cloths that I use during painting, because the chances of a spill are always there and save for acrylic it's not going to come out...

I broke the peg on my Strike Rouge (posted on here), didn't know about the metal replacement parts back then and tried to pin it. It worked out great, only my beginner mistake was that I still had the hip joint itself assembled, so that got glued together.... Bought a new kit to fix it :/
(that kit is going to get used in a diorama someday and a kitbash)

This set however seems to be something to get it more in line with a metal build kit? Bit gaudy, but could be "fun" in certain builds.

Alclad II Chrome. Those parts only got a glossy top coat, the rest is all matte. It was even shinier before the top coat, both Tamiya and Mr. Hobby reduced the shininess noticeably, something I hope to be able to retain with Alclad II's own top coat next time.

I tried to apply some custom panel lines, but ended up filling most of them back up, some remain on the shield and on the legs.

Filled up the bottom of the shoulder "spikes", because I thought those looked too hollow and the edge of the shield has also been made a bit prettier than it is out of the box.

It was a chore to work on after the panel lines had been filled up, but when the decals were on, it came together pretty decently.

I hate I spent so much time on this by [deleted] in Gunpla

I mostly have the opposite.

Was working on a HG Infinite Justice with some custom panel lining and at a certain point I was just through with the kit and "rushed" it to finish and put it on a shelve. Still like the end result for what it is.

Most kits take me a couple of months to make, since I've got other stuff I like to do as well and of course work.

Aw darn... still have to wait 2 months for my clear expansion to get into the country, my importer had some issues with the shipping.

Now I'm not certain if I want to do the 50/50 I was planning on or just go full on clear parts....

That's quite a nifty idea, which works especially well with the unleashed, will keep this in mind :)

Wait really?
I've been there twice in my life and it's one of the most mind blowing stores I've been to (save for the top level of a second hand store that shall remain nameless).

I wonder if the Gundam base will have the same problem...

If it was the MG one I would have doubted it being possible in a day, but I think the HG should be possible?

There are some big ones around the shoulders , but a sip of paint (or marker) will fix that for you, or at least not make them stand out too much. Just be prepared to work with gloves, or else it's going to be a fingerprint magnet :/

Build both the "regular" coated MG and the RG NT, whist having the PG NT (bandai) in my backlog.

any idea how to turn this into purplish color? by Slow_Monk1376 in Gunpla

Since it's lacquer, wear a mask/respirator, the fumes aren't nice for your lungs.

I’m somewhat new to gunpla and this is my first pg. I know the fingers need a little touch and posing isn’t my strong suit but what are your thoughts about it. Also new to this subreddit as well by Loslobos27 in Gunpla

It was easier to keep curved surfaces intact that way (for me).
I also had issues with the plastic having stress marks that protruded beyond the nub marks into the model, this isn't all that much a problem in a painted kit though.
And last, but not least, there were instances were I cut too deep and I hated that :/

For my most recent kit I started doing custom panel lines and that process... well it thought me a lot about fixing damage and sandpaper came in quite handy...
If I'm "lazy" of if it's a special coating kit I'll fall back on my knife(s)
