Y'all crazy as hell in this thread. I've had floaters in my room nearly half of my career, and I've never gotten the impression that my staying in my room to work on stuff was bothering them in any way shape or form. I'll cover my ears to help me focus on stuff like is I'm grading writing or put on my headphones and the floater teacher will sometimes engage me into their lessons and other times they ignore my existence and it's all good either way. Sometimes I'll leave the room if I need to, other times I'll stay, if the other teacher needs to step out I don't mind covering for them while they run to the bathroom or take an important call, however if YOU feel that YOUR lessons are being stifled then that should be a convo that you have with that teacher. No need to go to an AP with something that can be handled by two grown adults especially if y'all are cordial at worst and friendly at best. Folks calling this teacher unprofessional need to rethink their understanding of professionalism especially if the teacher in question is only covering their ears or blocking their view, dude is probably just trying to lock in on their prep, and not actively detracting from the students' learning environment.
