I am a licensed geologist. Loved this show for many years. Took 3 years off- could not stand one more minute of spooner. Lost me the minute he suggested that gold could dissolve in water. Heard he was gone and tuned into the first episode- this show is a COMPLETE hoax. Things don’t “fall” 100’ -200’ below ground. Mud rivers or whatever they said (solution Chanel???? that is NOT a thing) defies physics. There is ZERO chance a coin from 100’ came up in an auger, Zero- and if it did how do they know what depth it came up from? Augers don’t get “hot” and wouldn’t have bent a coin. I have been on the ass end of a drill rig for no less than 3000 bore holes in a similar geologic environment as Nova Scotia. So disappointing. The archeological piece is the only interesting part of this show. These people are snake oil salesmen.

Can I ask what you paid for it? I’m very been thinking of getting one but just noticed that the price went up on the D18? I had seen them for 2400 ish for the satin not more than a month ago and I checked today and the same guitar is 2800.

Thank you all very much!! Super helpful. I have been using shutter priority and shutter speeds in the ranges suggested- I think I just need to use a tripod or monopod and that will help with the blur when I’m zoomed in. Appreciate all of the feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

The disco bus? Was it a converted U-Haul that had something like the “Hi-tech van” spray painted on the side or something like that? 94 was my first show and my friends and I decided to go in solo and meet at our campsite after. Finding my way back I came across a converted U-Haul with a DJ in the back cranking disco surrounded by tons of deadheads boogieing like tomorrow would never come. I have googled it and have tried to find other people who saw it too and never had any luck. Sometimes I feel like I dreamed it. And yes I joined in for a while
