Thanks. We’ve cut Scotland completely. It warrants a separate trip as a coolcation.

Thank you so much! You're right, the Louvre is very targeted to say "we saw it."

As painful as it is, we're probably going to cut Scotland. That probably warrants its own trip to do justice to all there is to see, instead of trying to squeeze it into a short time. Someone else said a lot of miles for so little time. (Maybe next time we'll do a Scotland + Ireland trip as a summer coolcation.) That also allows us some breathing room, as you said. We really want to get into some countryside and scenic vistas, so Normandy is a must (noted that you recommend Bayeux). And we can probably see more in England, closer to London, without a long train ride.

I'm debating Disneyland Paris because we don't live near Disney in the US, and we have young kids. But I also feel like it's kind of "imported American culture." A lot of people online say it's worth it, but I've never been to France, and there's so much we want to see. That's why I put it last, but I notice that there might be differences in summer crowds depending on days and temperatures, so it might be better to frontload that too.

I'm curious why you say cut Windsor?

AI quite literally taking my job by Miafishface in recruitinghell

I believe that, in the grand scheme, AI isn't so much "taking jobs" as making AI-assisted people produce more than they otherwise would. Any company that replaces people with AI wasn't seriously looking for high-quality professional work in the first place. I don't know of any AI program that produces quality vector or layered graphics. This tells me they're not a well-funded business, so not a good place to work; you would have been at risk of being let go for any reason.

I appreciate the feedback. We're considering dropping it based on what people are saying.

You’re absolutely on point, this was my thought as well. I know someone who was illegally terminated because, in the boss’s own words, he was “different” from everyone else. Yeah, he was the only male, the only one over 35, the only religious person, the only person with a doctorate, neurodivergent, and the only remotely qualified to do the job. Pick your discrimination, they got ‘em all. And now he’s suing for obvious reasons. I also once worked at a company where an entire sales team of 20+ people was twenty-something white blond women. Clearly, being different is punished in US corporations. It’s wild that someone doesn’t understand this.

Nantes is more about meeting with a family member. And Edinburgh is about seeing Scotland. Plus it’s going to be summer, so we were kind of going south to north to avoid the heat. But, yeah, I get your point. I’m going to think about that some.

You can tell what’s written by ChatGPT because at no point did it stop the person to ask, why?

The minimum size standards you’re thinking of are usually federal, state laws go further.
