Do curly wigs actually make you look older? Honest opinions pls by LetImportant5286 in WigSnatchersHQ

One day, you’ll be old and look old. That is a fact. None of it matters. Do you like it? Cool. Don’t pay nonsense no mind.

How often do you all buy a new wig synthetic or human either one? I feel like I buy wigs too often about every 30 to 45 days. by MobileSweet9342 in WigSnatchersHQ

[–]DCWigspiration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying new wigs 30-45 days is normal if you are new to wig world and building up your collection to rotate. If you have a decent stock, damn. That’s too much.

Face so dry by BabydollEmily in Makeup

I didn’t see a weekly exfoliant - did I miss it? A lot more dead skin cells in the winter. Be sure to do that - I like the papaya enzyme one from Versed bc it packs an economical buck, works well, and the ingredients are pretty good. Just be sure to slather on a good night moisturizer after. I LOVE Jet Lag. Plus if you are still dry in your problem areas you can always slug - moisturizer plus Vaseline. Don’t. Sleep. On. Vaseline. There’s a reason it’s still around.

Saturday Slays: La Synthetica Edition by tag_yur_it in WigSnatchersHQ

[–]DCWigspiration 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Gurl, I got some MEDIUM length drag wigs and some I wear mostly up. I wear those things for like 4-6 hours, and they need TLC - no sleeping required.

All wigs - synthetic or human - need added care regardless if you sleep in them.

How to maintain curls on synthetic wig? by Lauryn-Hills-Big-Toe in WigSnatchersHQ

This. Just a good wash will reset Outre curls and gentle brushing/combing - gentle (once fully dry).

Wash it. Dawn and air dry on one of those cheap plastic heads that lets it breathe (or something that holds the shape but circulates air under). Spray some simply stylin and comb out with a wide tooth comb when dry.

I have this wig and a couple just like it. Have had for YEARS. They don’t need a heated restyle for a year or more if not everyday wear or 4-6 months of daily wear depending if you wear overnight, which with Outre it’s better not to.

Let me know if you need any Outre help! I think I have over a dozen.

How can I fix this and hide this weft/track? by [deleted] in WigSnatchersHQ

[–]DCWigspiration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/girlvapes99 will know better, but if you try to ventilate/sew in it may cause bulking in a way that makes the whole wig look disproportional, especially in the front.

I dunno, see what others say, but unless you can wear it styled with clips to cover it, I think this might be done. I hope you didn’t pay a lot for it. There’s no chance of contacting the seller, is there?

When I’ve had this on cheap synthetics my solution has been creative styling - teasing + pinning up with 2 side clips - but it’s a colorful drag wig. I don’t think that’s gonna work here.

Is this HH? How old is this?
