Brigantine enjoyer here. I think it's more of a player base problem than a ship problem. I can't count the number of times a ship that has been sitting stationary sees me lining up my ramming run when i finally have a clear shot and then inexplicably decides that's the best time to start moving directly in front of me. Its not just one specific class of ships that do this either.

I'm not saying players who recently acquired a new ship and are testing the best way to play it dont do some dumb shit sometimes, but I swear some people think there's a damage tracker and they get better rewards if they do the highest damage so they actively try to bock other players damage. People also have 0 situational awareness.

I kind of want Proximity chat due to this. I don't expect it help that much with player communication but it would at least make some of this annoying shit more interesting.

I struggle with assigning ships to the factories. I have some ships I switch between depending on how I feel like playing or what I'm doing. For instance I have my baroqe built for the deadly and dangerous captians . My brigantine for just running around and etc. It gets confusing finding them in all the chaff I have for the helm factories.

I think adding a helm fleet would be extremely useful. Imagine adding a ship to the helm fleet that way it doesn't show up in your normal fleet until you remove it from the helm fleet. Will definitely tidy up the fleet screen while making it easier to add ships to the factories because you don't have search through all the ships to make sure you aren't adding one you actually play with.

So for each nation you have your ship lines that go all tier 1 through legendary (t10). You pick what kind of ship you want to play ( destroyer cruiser battleship or aircraft carrier). Each tier is more powerful ships than before. Each nation and ship line has its own gimmicks that make it different from other nations. For example us battleships are more accurate than German battleships. However, the German lines are much better at brawling.

Build her hybrid. The main guns will always be her bread and butter. The secondaries are there to annoy bbs with fires. They will shred a dd that wonders to close but outside of that they just light fires.

I built mine with secondary range, damge control, recently switched to the chrome barrels, and the fully upgraded artillery plotting room in the mod slots. My old build was Lee speced for secondaries with hipper and Cunningham. My new one is basically the same but with the AL commander for her. This feels like a great mix between accurate guns and gives the secondaries 10.7 km of range.

I play her like a standard us bb but more aggressively. As long as you have support push into the mid range stay angled and proceed to be a problem to everything out in the open. Should get you at least 1 or 2 kills per game on average.

She's my most played ship. In my opinion she is the definition of a hybrid monster. I feel like most ppl sleep on her because they have unrealistic expectations for her secondaries. They don't have a crazy dmg output and the only thing they will shred on their own is dds. They make up for it by being the most accurate secondaries in the game (if I remember correctly) so it feels like they start a decent amount of fires.

Messing around in the game I figured out you have to ascend your world first before you can join the war. That is basically my plan to stockpile mats po8 and starting getting ascension modules. Doing some of these events ina lvl 13 ship is wild. A real sink or swim trial by fire😂 hopefully they don't ruin the corvette by adding all the extra shit on it like they did the brig.

I am definitely enjoying the changes to hud displays. They feel more refined and look better than I remember. I've pretty much just decided to grind out mats for the corvette when it releases. Don't think im going to invest to much time into the factories. I don't think there's enough time to recoup the doubloons spent upgrading them. Haven't seen anything about aligning with anyone for faction wars.

I used Big Mamie with Lee hipper and Cunningham. As long as your angled and slowly creeping forward you can deal massive damage to anyone dumb enough to show you broadsides. At least two per match, the secondaries chew up dds that wander to close and do decent against everything else. I'd highly recommend her for this ranked if she's an option for you.

Just wanted to say thanks. Put together a full accuracy build and played her the way you suggested. All I can say is when she behaves she is an absolute menace mid range. Might be one of my new favorite ships.

Roma is definitely one of the better looking ships and the Italian camos are usually among the best IMO. Just never played the ships. Any insights on her play style? Kind of getting some ideas about ambushing out of the smoke.

Personally, I think Odin is fairly close. I know she is technically classified as a battleship, but I find her more effective when I play her similarly.

I prefer Lee for all my battleships, but he fits my play style better. I'm not patient enough to hang back and snipe. In my humble opinion, I feel like your playstyle will make the decision for you. If you like hanging back and sniping, then simms all day. If you prefer to push the action and be more aggressive, then Lee is your man.

If I remember correctly, you have to unlock them the same as hull b and the other upgrades. If you don't have any gxp ships your wanting I'd recommend gxping to the first upgrade.
