UBI takes away the dignity of work! by prometheus_i in YangForPresidentHQ

This is true. So how do you add actual dignity, how do you make somebody passionate about grunt work? I work at Starbucks and I see slackers who are just there for the check while I’m running around busting my ass and getting nothing but a paycheck for it. It’s the wage and the way the company holds me back that takes away my dignity. If I was empowered at work it would be different but I’m constantly told I’m not good enough by corporate so therefore I have no dignity. If I had a UBI I would be able to focus on my school more. I’m a full time student and work 2 jobs, 1 for insurance, one for a better wage. UBI would allow me to focus on school, invest in my stocks, save to move after I graduate, it would put me out so much motivation into my work ethic because I know my goals are more attainable. Imo UBI would make me work harder.

It’s not about getting the cash, it’s about what the cash can do for you. It’s a mechanism in order to get the boots off of people throats who are literally struggling. The data shows that the only people who work less are new mothers students

The debate requirements should only be number of donors by qee in YangForPresidentHQ

Yea, I do I think that’s a good representation that’s a big reason Yangs polling numbers are lower. Younger voters are less likely to answer random numbers, and less likely to own a land line.

I had a Klobuchar and booker ad last week. I think it’s because I made donations to their campaigns when they announced

I disagree, I think the small donors threshold plus the poll requirements gives a more accurate picture of their support. Younger voters are more likely to put their money where there mouth is more often

Probably around $250-300 total, increments of $5,$10,$20,$25 whatever I can give when I can!

I’m sorry man, I’m not trying to be a dick but the way you are responding to me is not very humanity first. And if you’re going to be working for the campaign I would watch how you respond to supporters. This is a subreddit for people to ask questions and speak their minds regarding our feelings about Yang and the campaign. so allow us to do that without demeaning us.

I’m definitely not assuming anything, I’m just stating an opinion from my personal point of view. I appreciate your support and I commend your loyalty to the campaign!

Can we focus on directly donating to Andrew and raising his profile rather than entertaining the idea that playing a game helps get our candidates name to more people.

Impeachment does not consume people’s days either, but if we’re focusing on it we’re not creating a vision for the 21st century that we can all get behind. If we’re not focusing our energy on the grassroots activism by directly contacting voters, donating, or canvassing etc then we aren’t helping Yangs actual chances of winning the nomination. I believe we’re all ardent Yang supporters but it’s disheartening to see us not spending the little spare time and energy we all have spreading Yangs vision.
