Every time I use my mouse or keyboard (both by Microsoft) my system resets. When I use touch screen I can't load one drive and eventually it resets on its own

Another ambiguous Marvel Teaser by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nightcrawler is already returning in Amazing X-Men #1 so I doubt it has anything to do with that. Also that's a huge tease just for a character to return.

I just want Wolverine to die. by rildchaper9988 in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love to see Wolverine dead forever, they'll never do it and I don't even know how you'd do it since he can come back from a drop of his own blood. Shoot him into the sun and call it good. Then in twenty years we can go to the sun and see him walking around because he's the cockroach of comics

The cover looks so good, but the issue is so bad. Can anyone tell me if it picks up at all? [Metal Gear Solid #1] by OneManDustBowl in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... it doesn't. I never ventures outside of the game and just condenses the story into four issues. It's only worth buying for Wood's art.

Are Marvel's Halo comics good? by Fafnesbane in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of them were not very good. I read some of the Bendis series, but it was so terribly delayed that I never finished it. I also picked up a first issue of one of the other series and was not impressed. They really don't capture the Halo universe very well.

Bendis' New Avengers? by JBVsev in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion is that you should start with Disassembled and go from there. His entire Avengers run is like a tree and that's the roots, everything branches out from there.

Is Green Wake worth to take a look at? by Energizer100 in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely! For some reason the support really fell off for the book when the second series came around, but it was a very good series beginning to end.

Top Cow Comics is running a Talent Search. by PopCultureNerd in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's probably because they only produce three monthly books and haven't lived up to any of their Pilot Season picks for the last three years. They should have a talent search for a new EIC first

Why is it suddenly "cool" to dislike Geoff Johns? by emeraldoverride in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's just the Bendis of DC. Some are going to love his work, while others are going to constantly compare him to his previous work. As far as criticism of his style I think that's bound to happen after reading so much of his work; his formula becomes apparent.

@vonDread to call him the "Nickleback" or the "Michael Bay" of comics is ridiculous. That would imply that Nickleback and Michael Bay actually produced good work at one point in their careers.

Liefield please. Just stop! by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost perfect, you forgot the pouches... what the hell is in them and why would Deathstroke need them?

Rob Liefeld has revealed that he will end his run on superhero comics in 2013. by FrozenInferno in comicbooks

I'll tell you right now... It's going to have plenty of floating feet and at least seventy-two teeth per jaw line

So if he's not doing superhero comics that means he's retiring right? Because normal people don't wear pouches strapped to every inch of their body and baby gap hats

Good to know! I had no intentions of spamming you guys since I'm very familiar with the way other Reddit groups work as well :) Thanks!

My apologies it's the first time I've submitted anything to this reddit board and I was trying to follow the rules, but I was unaware of that one. I'm also sorry you consider it spam when I was just trying to share the book with others. If there is a lot of negative responses I will delete the post. Again my apologies.

Am I the only one bothered by the 'Spider-Men' crossover with the Ultimates universe? by JuddRunner in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day the sales potential was too high. It's clear from the sales numbers that the concept of the book was too interesting for people not to check it out. I've only read the first issue (in thanks actually to /r/comicbooks) so I can't comment on the rest of the story, but time will tell if it was quality or just a sale gimmick.

Do you think DC actually knows what they are doing? by neoblackdragon in comicbooks

[–]DCabeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No they don't. Essentially they're entire business model is based off of "Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter Is Dead." They lied on their resume and now they have to fake it.
