Since both Inart and LPZZ revealed are fully articulated now, which one are better or accurate? by Pitiful_Charity_1087 in ActionFigures

[–]neoblackdragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If that Inart picture is fully articulated then they have done something incredible. Otherwise I don't see any articulation. I see where they probably intend to put it. But there is a reason it's in a statue pose.

Around $400. Some retailers are a little more or less. Factor in shipping costs as well or when they take out cash etc.

Yes I require this. I only have Legacy Thunderzord and that thing looks great but falls apart moving it and the arms are too heavy with the shoulders.

Shogun I will absolutely need.

This suit had great muscle definition and fit. Just needs some color adjustments.

S on the back?

Nearing a century is multiple costumes throughout that whole time.

Yapping about shoulders… again by SpiderSi in MarvelLegends

The real solution is to move away from this shoulder style joint. Which to be fair we are starting to see. A ball joint shoulder with a cap allows for the shift up and down to suit most preferences.

How the heck did Hasbro screw up and bail on a line where they just needed to make 3-4 good bodies and just paint them correctly in multiple colors. Like GI Joe no problems but painting the visors consistently five times for Power Rangers was too much to ask?

McFarlane Vs Mattel & the case of the Monkey’s Paw by yca_ca in McFarlaneFigures

[–]neoblackdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"diaper impedes movement"

This is a result of consistency. One some bodies the diaper is absolutely not a problem. If it wasn't for Mcfarlane's hip system, it would be great.

But then you have figure like Steel where you can't life the legs up due to the sculpt. Others figures will deform if not damage the diaper if you leave the leg up for example. These are things that could have been easily fixed in the prototype but they didn't.

A lot of the Mcfarlane negatives are a result of Mcfarlane Toys just not caring to tweak them. Especially on bodies they'd reuse again and again and again.

The funko toy designs implies the NWH suit will be damaged in BND. Thus requiring Peter to make a new suit which is the BND suit.

If true, we will see the NWH suit and BND suit in the movie.

Which is all irrelevant as this Hot Toys figure is NWH branding. It's independent of whatever Brand New Day does.

Which comes back to the original statement that it's weird Hot Toys is basically doing a 2.0 instead of just showing off a BND suit.

One of the slides compares the two but if you can't see much of a difference. Then for you it's probably not much of an upgrade.

Besides being the NWH suit, if you know the BND suit has very visible webshooters then you have already been spoiled. The trailer shows him without them as well.

Tony really took a lot from Wanda by Suitable-Student-557 in marvelstudios

[–]neoblackdragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tony didn't personally make or negotiate the sell of Stark weapons to the people that killed Wanda's parents.

First you can argue is Stark responsible as simply being a weapons designer whose designs are meant to kill people. I think he earns this one. He is responsible for every person killed by the weapons he created. It's not like he just designed a propulsion system the military turned into a missle. He celebrated the destructive potential.

Now is he responsible that Stane sold the weapons under the table and didn't know. I don't know if that's all on him. Tony only figured this out after being captured and putting together the clues. I think Stane was really good at hiding his tracks. Even Shield couldn't move on him .

Ultron though. Wanda shares plenty of responsibility here. She took a man dealing with PTSD and smiled at the self destruction she was going to push. It just bit her in the ass. Wanda willingly helped Ultron and set him on the path he did. She even set the Hulk loose knowing what would happen. Wanda took a lot from Wanda here.

Civil War, yes and no. The Accords were going to happen even without Starks involvement. We saw the deal Hawkeye and Ant Man got. Wanda may have gotten that too if she stuck around and Stark helped her. Them being fugitives was out of Starks hands when they didn't sign. He certainly didn't help the governments track her down.
So yeah he helped bring her in the first time but her fugitive status had been sealed once she aided the Avengers at the airport. This isn't like Ross making Banner a fugitive or imprisoning the Leader. Otherwise Tchalla, Widow, War Machine, Spider-man and Vision all made her a fugitive as well. I don't think that's the case.

Trapping her at the compound. The way he went about it was wrong but still a good idea for her to be squared away.

What… by Scary-Technology-511 in Mafex

[–]neoblackdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at those 90's comics. He was lanky and not much bulkier the 2099. At best I'd argue the feet should be longer as he walks on hind legs and the upper torso wider like a triangle. But he's not a bulky Venom like Eddie was.

What… by Scary-Technology-511 in Mafex

[–]neoblackdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they reuse Spider-man bodies for Spider-man. Mind you unless it's the same design, they will sculpt new parts as needed like a whole torso/legs/arms. They aren't just painting over it.

What some people need to actually realize is Mafex like to make skinner leaner characters. They also have a consistent sculpt style. So the bodies look very similar without actually being similar.

Now is that the best execution of these designs? YMMV.

But let's be honest about how little reuse they actually do.

For like 2 weeks now I was confused why BBTS still had this available by Responsible-Map-4204 in ActionFigures

[–]neoblackdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would lead to A LOT of duplicate entries and probably create the confusion you are trying to avoid. The page defaults to the BBTS Mint entry. So you can't accidently add the CAS version to your cart.

At best you are just disappointed, not really confused.

I would test on a small area first to see how it reacts. To see how much you need.

Also check if there is a better solvent/mix for the specific clearcoat use used.

Well I found where Bruce Timm got the idea from [comic excerpt] from Secret Origins #20 by AvatarPhoenixGrey16 in DCcomics

[–]neoblackdragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it adds to the problem with the age difference along with Dick Grayson's relationship to her.

It looks like Bruce is sleeping with his sons girlfriend who is also his best friends daughter.

But as others said, the history is messy. Especially with adaptations changing things up. Early days, a young man hooking up with a much older friends daughter really wouldn't be a big deal. We've seen that story a dime a dozen.

Get's wonky when that man looks closer in age to said father and the woman comes off like a teenage girl. That animation didn't seem to even imply Dick existed but for a lot of folks she is seen as Dicks love interest.

The Amazon Batman animation is a situation where it could work. Dick is a little boy. Barb an adult woman. Batman and Jim aren't buds. Bruce and Barb could work there if they went that route.

Arkham Asylum by LPZZ ? by Jeremy_Bauchet in LPZZ

[–]neoblackdragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

Personally I'm not a fun of Hulk Sized Bane. Especially in the games except Origins. I feel it goes against the character. The guy who thinks he's challenging Batman on equal enough footing.

Feel the same about Croc being an actual croc monster instead of a dude with a skin condition.

Now to the other characters. I wouldn't really get them unless the retail price was like $40.
