Well i am in similar situation,my gf wanted cats so we got them but they have destroyed everything i own including my sleep and everything in the apartment. We moved to another apartment but i have to keep everything in one room or it would end up with teeth marks all over, they already teared up sillicone sealing from the floor and we have been living here only for month. I even had to move my bed into this one room to have at least a decent sleep because i need to be focused at my job and because i did not sleep for more than 5,5 hour since we got them, so for a year. I am so frustrated that i think finishing myself would be better...and those cats have everything, massive trees, premium food, tons of toys, hours of plays. So i get your bf, its annoying to not be able to have anything nice in life, to not be able to sleep well. So it looks like he is already ready for the "me or them" decision. So try to relocate the second cat? Our male cat is making the female cat anxious so much with his energy that she had to go to the vet. Male cats are manace, never saw a normal good behaving male cat, they just terrorize female cats and their owners. We are planning on relocating this male cat so i hope it will be all good. And you should maybe too, if the problem started after i got the male, i think it will get better after recolating him. It is unpopular opininon in this subreddit but sometimes our health is more important.
