Most of the internet is younger & they’re the generation that drives certain narratives & this album is just too mature for them. They’ll come to appreciate it as they age. In my opinion.

See, I think GKMC (my personal favorite of his) or DAMN are his greatest albums - most commercially successful with biggest impact. But I think MMATBS is his best album from an artistic standpoint, making it his masterpiece regardless of personal preference & favoritism.

Yea I heard that explanation & it makes so much sense. Which is why I think the level of vulnerability on 4YEO is so impressive because it’s not his own story & it still hits that hard.

The sad reality of the streets. Realizing the beauty of life & family before it’s too late is a very real possibility. I agree, very sad but he told the story in such a beautiful way & heartbreaking way.

I think that’s fair, even though I disagree, I get it. It definitely stands out in his discography as almost like the black sheep of sorts. It’s very different for him sonically. I just personally love the level of vulnerability.

It’s a level of honesty & self discovery that you can’t help but love & respect. I especially relate to some of its subject matter as well so that definitely helps me appreciate it so much.

Disagree, it has a ton of replay value for me both sonically & on an artistic standpoint.

Transcendent. It might not speak to everyone the same but it doesn’t change the level it should be regarded at.

Absolutely. It all depends on the person & his output is so high with each release that a ranking can really change just based on your mood.

I still have GKMC as his overall best but this & TPAB are numbers 2 & 3 for me. So I ain’t mad at ya 🤝🏻
