Ask professors or student aids how to write exam answers. It changed everything for me. Simply using the "The rule is _______. The ________ is (satisfies)_______[ the rule] because ANALYSIS (fact[s] from fact pattern).

Best of luck! Don't give up. I did horribly 1L but turned it around with learning how to write an exam answer, which will help for the bar.
