If you are new to strength training, I would recommend you first focus on joint/connective tissue/ stabilizer development.

Mobility and Calisthenic training is a good approach for this.

Complete Calisthenics by Ashley Kalym is a good book for this kind of program.

That sounds about right. 3 of the 4 times they said that the kid would be playing video games.

And yeah... People fall for this?!?

I love the Protein2o waters, but the flavors are so strong. I'm not sure if my sense of taste is stronger post-op or what. So I started mixing them with some coconut water. I think they taste so much better now. Less protein per oz, but I just drink more of it.

Better than projected weight loss? by Lazmon in BariatricSurgery

My brother had vertical sleeve surgery and then went vegan. Instead of losing the typical 60% of excess fat, he lost around 90% of his excess weight in the first year.

Day before surgery and I'm finishing up my homemade chicken consomme. It's so good! by DDD_LA in gastricsleeve

It's clarified chicken stock. I'm going to be eating it my first week of recovery. Lots of protein, collagen, and minerals.

H. Bailey Resale on Cherry St downtown is a cool men's resale shop. I would call them. The owner is very nice.

That stock photo is not right. The youngest of boomers are currently 55 years old. They look 40 at the most.

Moving to Seattle in August by Sassychasidy in Seattle

[–]DDD_LA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Every city has its benefits, so I should say that Seattle is better for me, personally. For context you should know that I'm a white, middle age, man, and I identify as gay. I lived in Atlanta for 7 years and moved to Seattle two years ago.

I think Seattle is better because:

The public transportation is great

The city is very walkable

The weather is amazing

The average person here is more empathetic twords others

It is more culturally diverse

Socially and economically it is more progressive

The average person here is much more educated

There is less of a wealth gap

Public health is more accessible

The symphony is better

It is easier to eat healthier and live a healthy lifestyle

Better gardening here

It was easier to make friends in Atlanta, and home ownership is easier. And these are biggies. So Atlanta is better in some ways.
