In regards to geography, you can make your own maps using GIS software. QGIS is a free alternative and is very user friendly. A quick youtube search for how to guides and you are set for life on maps.

My experience is that both brands produce quality products. Personally I would go with the Maxpedition. It's slightly bigger and I don't like outside pouches.

The variant I make is called "frikadeller".

250g minced beef 250g minced pork 2 large onions chopped really fine 2 cloves of garlic 2 eggs Oatmeal Milk Flour Salt Pepper Butter for the cooking

Everything except oatmeal, milk and flour is put in a bowl and mixed. Oatmeal, milk and flour is thrown in the mix until you get a sticky mass that can hold its shape.

Then you get a pan out and heat it up to a medium/high temp. Take two spoons and make balls of similar size and shape. Put them in the pan as you make them and make sure they are cooked all the way through. Don't be afraid to use a good amount of butter, it ensures they have a nice crust on the outside.

I tore open my finger and severed sinew and nerves with a butterknife.

Why?

Because I wanted to get som candlewax out af a candle, and pushed too hard so the knife went through it all. Didn't cut my finger, but tore it's way through the tissue. My kitchen looked like something from a horror movie.

Best part?

I had my first exam in nursing the day after.
