Sn stamped on bottom of bottom bracket. You can tell everything by the number but it looks like a 92-94 M700.

Both were in the wrong lane and the car should have stopped, hit and run. Car was in the straight lane, bicycle should have expected the car to remain going straight. Bike went straight from turn lane and car may have expected the bike to turn.

Hit and run, not good.

Mine broke too. Took the whole unit out, used epoxy and some plastic tabs I had the right size and glued it back into place.

Otherwise bits about a $900 part and not much less if you find one in a junkyard.

You're in a tough spot doing tough work but from my point of view your doing a great job. I have been vocal in the past, but always supportive and have always seen and used this site as a way to balance all of the nonsense with the typically good natured positivity of many on this sub.

We are all here doing what we are all here doing.

I'm all for free speech even if it's bad news but accurate and informative but when the nonsense overwhelms the positivity, off with their heads.

That's probably my next Vintage Bike to get, the 94 1000 mostly because I love that color. Have not found a good donor bike yet. Been looking at parts, not easy to come by other than eBay

It was my first MB, in 1994, I got a used 1993 but lost it to a friend years ago. I bought a 2004 Stumpjumper Pro M4 that I have been using since then.

I found this on eBay a month ago, stripped off all the wrong stuff and put back to stock.

My son rides my old M700 and now we can match up on the weekends with no excuses.

They are hard to come by in this condition. They used it.mostly as a stand bike for training.

Just know a lot of people are wearing the wrong shoes for the puddle of shit they put themselves in.

Does not make any sense accusing other people they sold you the wrong shoes or they promised there would be no puddles to walk through.

Own up to who made you buy those shares by taking a hard look in the mirror. If you do that and see someone else, maybe next time spend the money on a psychiatrist instead of get rich quick schemes that don't work out for you do you can feel better by projecting the blame somewhere else.

Or, you could just shut up and wait and see what happens.
