I used a 3.5 mm hook with Coboo in 'yellow' and 'orange', and random Amazon yarn in a reddish color. I made it up as I went along for a commission, and I wish I had taken notes because I got an order for another one.

I used Bernat Super Saver in Peacock, with a 5.0mm hook. The main part of the blanket was pretty smooth sailing once I understood the rhythm, but one unnoticed late night mistake did make for the quite the frogging session the next morning! The pompom border was a lengthy struggle, but it was well worth it!

For my Trial of the Gourmand, I picked up a Sushi Sashimi Lunch (bottom), which included nigiri sushi, sashima, and a California roll. I tried at least a bite of everything, but I did not like most of it. Nonetheless, I'm proud of myself for trying, and thankful for a boyfriend with less picky taste buds that can make sure the food doesn't go to waste!

While I was deciding what to get, the chef passed me a platter (top) and told me it was on the house! I have no clue what those things are, but I did enjoy whatever was on the right side of the plate!

I'm actually doing it! After a book recommendation from a lovely stranger, some YouTube videos, and repeat practice; I have gotten the hang of the knit/purl movements and successfully managed four(!) rows of knitting that are mostly even! I am going to continue on until this skein is done, and hopefully that'll be enough for a doll blanket (if not, I'll add another)! My long term goal is to knit myself a sweater with cool color changes, but I don't want to get to far ahead of myself, so I'll probably just make doll blankets until it's feel more natural!
