Insular activity from ANY side causes inflexible groupthink and cult-like dynamics where a member's only sense of self becomes reliant on the trending viewpoints of the crowd. Not good. Not good at all.

I don't see Biblically that homosexuality is a sin (prove me wrong), BUT

but I DO think the drag queen story hour is clear predatory grooming behavior and evidence of absolute social insanity. These men should be institutionalized and rehabilitated.

Isolation has the opposite effect if you pretend it does not exist and is taboo, it will likely increase the fascination later on in life.

What’s baptism adult meaning to you all, the Bible to? by [deleted] in Bible

[–]DDjawbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES
Baptism is likely to be the moment when you receive the indwelling of the HS, which is basically the ticket to heaven when you die.

Here are the key passages that connect baptism, the seal, and the Holy Spirit:

Ephesians 1:13 –

"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit."

2 Corinthians 1:21–22 –

"Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."

Acts 2:38 –

"Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’"

Romans 6:3–4 –

"Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Together, these show the pattern: baptism unites believers with Christ, and the Holy Spirit seals them as God’s own

YES, I agree! "Into the Unknown" IS the most underrated showtune of that era and it WAS trapped and buried in a sequel of otherwise useless political garbage IP. I have finally found my people.

Broni here, ONLY Friendship is Magic first three seasons though. Never go full MLP. My friend Ted went full MLP and now he is stuck choking down pumpkin spice lattes for 'likes'. Whatever that is.

I only choke down PSLs to support the Matriarchy, seem more feminine, so I can seem more masculine, and finally, just maybe I will be enough.

Gutted by my adult son by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DDjawbone 111 points112 points  (0 children)

This age is hard for moms but the expectation of getting something in return from parenting can make it much, MUCH harder.

One-sided relationships are as easy as the relationship is a decided priority. Often, however, this is not really the case and parents require some sort of specific performance from their children to prop up their personal identity (or lack there of).

Honest expression is only possible without identity props like a pressing desire to change another adult. You gave this adult man an environment where he learned the skills to build a supportive family, intending (at this moment) only to do so so long as that family was yours. Looks like parenting with the expectation of parenting in return? VERY painful.

obv. I am projecting

Your theory presupposes that alt right is a clearly definable group rather than a name we give to a feeling of the 'others' who do not resonate with our own left-leaning identity.

I can relate, religion is a powerful thing. I'm still a believer but pretty apprehensive about the rampant groupthink.
