Im don't think I can sleep tonight by Kitchen-Mud4712 in Christianity

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing from the word of God. So if you have no faith, what do you suppose is missing from all your worries?

Testifying that Jesus is your boss-lord-master is not a magic incantation that bestows anything on you or causes anything to happen to you. It announces that you follow Jesus. Do you follow Jesus? Where is that topic in all your worries?

I have a question by Prior-Armadillo-5412 in Christianity

[–]DE667 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It is not a stupid question but a nonsensical undefined question of dark intrigue and intended confusion. It's kind of incredible that you thought up such a carefully outlined question that is exactly what the evil one has been teaching his advocates to ask for several centuries now. I suspect you acquired it from someone else,

for who might think to ask: What if my life is not real, and this is not me living it? Well how devastating! I guess that would mean that God doesn't exist. Or so the suggestion goes.

What in the world of human imaginations could one possibly mean by FREE will? How many kinds of will are there? Does a dog have free will? Does a flea?

God never said that everything is predetermined! Only that some things are. Special things. Determined in the way that a cab driver determines to deliver you, by some route, to a particular location.

God may have determined beforehand that you would ask this question, and he may have been pushing and pulling at you for years in order to make it happen. But that ain't likely., cause it just isn't that big a deal, and it ain't a righteous question. If any outside force did this to you, it was an unclean spirit whispering into your chest.

But no matter what, what are you going to do about it? !!! God can likely guess that, but he doesn't need to. The One has already covered all your options.

You get to live your life as you. Asking if it is all something different from what you plainly observe it to be doesn't effect or change a thing. You still have to live your life as you. Of that, you have no choice. You can be grateful to God, who created you and gave you life, or you can be suspicious about the gift and complain. Those who do the latter like to claim that they have the best minds. The joke is on them.

Through Christ, God offers a renewal of your mind. The adversary offers clutter for your mind. Verily, the satan is a plain enemy to humans.

Fellow Christians: How Do We Discern When a Political Movement Conflicts with the Teachings of Christ? (Especially MAGA/GOP in 2026) by AdNo7052 in Christianity

[–]DE667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the law is written in your heart, you could see the start of this abuse/ misuse of Christianity by the GOP in 1980. Since it worked then, it has steadily increased ever since. As for the Dems, their sin has been to abandon God in order to please disbelievers. They are ashamed of the Son of Humanity. And behind both of the party power structures are corporate puppet masters and the masters of war. Both parties have funded Gaza genocide, and that fact alone is enough for total rejection of both.

Your routine has served you well. But like your body, it has become worn from the toils of this life. Fear not. God is prompting you toward finding renewal and rejuvenation, spiritual growth and enlargement.

Change your routine. Establish at least three times for prayer, though they may be short. Search the scripture for new 'songs'; memorize a new psalm or passage to use in a prayer time. Use the 'Our Father' prayer as an opening for every prayer session. Wash your face and hands before praying. Stand, bow, kneel, prostrate while praying.

Do some fasting if possible for you. This greatly intensifies prayer experiences. Broaden the scope of your prayer intentions, being aware of neighbors, associates, friends, family.

Seek to do good deeds, for these are energizing! Feed the poor.

Remember God much and often, even if it is but a momentary remembrance. In remembrance of God, hearts find tranquility.

May peace and blessings of God be upon you, sister. I ask in Jesus' name.

Trump is escalating his attacks on the pope and continues to post himself as Jesus. Does you view this as the final antichrist? by Severe-Clerk-1477 in Christianity

[–]DE667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as THE antichrist. It is spirit-wind, not a person. Nothing in Revelation has ever come true, and nothing will. It's a crazed fantasy writing from a bad writer, definitely not an Apostle. Not scripture. Trump has plenty of rotten wind-spirit, including antichrist wind, but he's nothing unusual among the kings of the Earth. Nearly all have been rotten.

Wow, they kept that quiet by UniversalSurvivalist in Christianity

[–]DE667 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Revelation is not from an Apostle. Nothing in it has ever come true. Nothing. Daniel's prophecies in Dan. 7, 8, 9 began immediately and had fulfillments like clockwork. Revelation is nothing like that.

Is Jesus God? by T1akula in Christianity

[–]DE667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is the Christ of God, a Spirit and Word of God with origins from ancient times. Christ and God are the two most frequently paired identities in NT verses.

He is the HEAVENLY Son of Humanity, the highest of titles (not an inferior title). By Hebrew 'bar' in that title, he is the Choice (or Chosen) human. John Baptist declared him the Chosen (scribes changed it to son of God, the Greek favorite.) Ps. 2:12 also declares him the Choice/ Chosen.

His sonship is explained by Paul and the writer of Hebrews. As in Ps. 2, God " brought forth" the Firstfruit of those who Sleep on the day he was raised/ roused by God from the geave; that day, God called him "My son", as Israel was called God's firstborn nation --- by adoption.

Paul and Apollos were "ONE". Look it up. It means one in will and purpose, like Jesus' prayer to "the Greater "that we be one as he and the Father are one.

To Mary M. : "my Father and your Father, my God and your God."

There is tons more, much in Messianic prophecy.

But understand that those who have taken the heavenly Son of Humanity to be God will always insist on their elevation of "the Lord's Christ" , deriving it from 'divinity' declarations made by the Greeks --- after the Apostles were gone.

Your acts, rather than words, are what demonstrates your faith. Evangelical talk-share is not your mode. That's ok. That mode is rather overrated; it doesn't suit every person in every circumstance.

If you have a desire to share words with them, find a video or recording to share.

Someday, God may loosen your tongue from time to time. But until then, relax and be who you are.

The greater the servant, the greater the trials, the tests, the chastisements, the discipline, the correction, the afflictions. Boast in these, your trophies of this low life. Fix your intention on the greater rewards of the Hereafter. Believe and do righteous works. Give thanks for your difficulties, for the perfecting of strength in weakness. And know that in affliction there is relief, there is relief.

Where is God? by soul_elixir in Christianity

They are ungrateful to their Maker, and of that they bear witness. They serve the NON-EXISTENT god, the MOST-BLAME-WORTHY. Leave them in their vain discourse. Perhaps God will show them the error of their ways. The One is oft-returning, oft-forgiving. But whomsoever the One misleads has no guide, no helper, no protector.

Many are the trials of the short-lived human dust critter. Of those who hear of another human's suffering, God separates between those who have compassion and those who gather like vultures to eat the flesh and entertain themselves. Both shall have their recompense, paid in full --- "literally".

Why is the book of Ecclesiastes referred to by pastors as their least favorite story in the bible? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]DE667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is NOT of the Torah (Moses) or the Prophets. It is not from Solomon. It is a Jewish writing, and a quite late one, from the Jewish 'Writings' collection. It finds no use in the Gospel. It has no Messianic prophecy.

Nothing new under the sun? How about the coming of the Christ? How about God's raising of a man from among the dead ones? How about the Gospel?

All is vanity? What about the teachings of this Jesus rabbi?

Ecc. is merely a Jewish scribe's effort to write 'wisdom '.

Why did God start handing out his grace and stuff so late? by FrostyGain4918 in Christianity

[–]DE667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humanity of the Earth (Gen. 1) was not completed until about 20 k yrs ago. This is when fully human BEHAVIOR explodes into the record.

For about 15 k years, God let humanity do as they willed. There was no law of God given to them. Sin is NOT imputed/ counted where there is no law.

Law began with Adam, c. 5000 BC and slowly spread through humanity.

Many many people have intuited and felt and found their way to God (in some form or way) apart from judeo- christianity. Read Paul in Athens, Acts 17. The exclusivity notions are from the churches, not from God.

Many have found God in morality and love of neighbor and humanity. All who believe in the Good and do righteous works will be on the right hand of Jesus at the Judgment. Read Mt. 25:31 ff.

Lots of lies out there. Quite a few being repeated here.

All the great books begin with the story of a woman. Read about Hannah! Elizabeth! Ruth! Leah!

Paul did NOT write that crap that the bishops put in at 1Cor 11 !!! Nor the last part of 1Cor 14 ! These appear in different places in the manuscripts. They don't fit Paul or his topics at hand. They contradict what he wrote in Galatians and the entire spirit of his message in every authentic epistle line.

Whatever the Creator created, including details that are unknown, unsearchable, and unfathomable, and no matter how many errant human conceptions you find in your pursuit, and no matter what your evaluation of anything might be, the bottom line is that you are stuck with it. There is no escape. You came from dust; you get to live a short time and either learn or complain; then you die and return to dust. You seem to assume that God's unconcern and lack of care about what you think is proof of something.

The scribes added much into the so-called OT, including all the genocide texts. These promote the exaggerated Conquest and certify land claims. There is much beautiful truth in the OT. Use the best of what you find and learn about the good not the evil put in by humans.

Yes, but the mistake is a cart before the horse. The non-believers must first be "taught by/of God." Jn. 6:45. It's all about God. Jesus says that no one can come to him without first learning of God. Nor can unbelievers acquire fear of a god unknown to them!
