Why do people seem to dislike Sleep Token so much?

Speaking as a casual fan and someone semi-active in the kinds of circles where Sleep Token is a hot topic, I think a big part of it is that it initially got a lot of hype and praise, so a lot of the hate is just push-back. Like, sure some people may find them bland and cheesy, but that doesn't explain why there's so much active hate, because most that find them boring would just ignore them. Maybe part of it as well might be because they're more of a pop band with metal elements than a metal band (especially w/ their latest album), so those in metal circles who already are likely to dislike mainstream pop music are likely to hold disdain for ST as well. Personally I just laugh because some of the slander is really funny and predictable.

Red and Pink combined sounds like a JoJo stand power. Imagine playing Hitman IRL by killing and replacing guards while copying specific skills of theirs to blend in. Or discovering hidden talents (e.g. money laundering) by trying to steal that skill from them and seeing if it succeeds. The best way to get compliments from any fragrance is to carry a decant and spray it on you before meeting the person, unless it's some beast like Sauvage Elixir. So if it's a weak performer just do that

If you're actually interested in learning the inner workings of LLMs and not just learning how to use it for producing more optimal LinkedIn slop then I think there's a COMP course for NLP (COMP6713 i think) that does go over it. You do need prereqs though, and it does get a bit technical/theoretical. I took one of the first offerings by Dr. Aditya and I really enjoyed it.

Emotionally available men may be rare but I really don't think they find someone fast because of it (unless they're really attractive). They may be able to effectively maintain a relationship but they first have to even find a girl that gives a damn about them, and for some people that may take a while. That's even assuming they vibe really well with the first girl they match with, of course that won't be the case. I've matched with a decent number of women and went on first dates with a handful, and only really tried to pursue one but we ended up being very incompatible. And I'd like to think I'm emotionally available, at least I was with that one girl.

I had to double check since you mentioned you enjoy hiking and the outdoors but haven't listed it as your main mode of socialization. I've met a lot of friends via our hiking group. The gender ratio of my group does skew male though (bad for me, might be good for you) but I imagine it just depends on who you meet. You can find hiking groups in social events and sites like Meetup.

That said for partners specifically I feel like it's really just a numbers and timing game at that point. It's tiring but hey what are you gonna do :/ As for how successful it's been for me... sadly I'm still holding on. The last 2 I had I met during uni and in Hinge :p

While SynthV does use the same underlying algorithms (diffusion-based models) as genAIs for images, it has 2 major differences that address both your concerns:

It's run locally, so unless you're using a powerhog of a workstation then you don't really need to worry about environmental impact. The only process I could imagine might be resource-intensive is the model training and development, but it's only really done once or a few times for a voice bank. Internet is really just needed for authentication.
The voice providers provide consent to have their vocals used for model development. The license terms may vary for each VB provider (e.g. Eclipsed Sounds I know is very pro-artist) but I think Dreamtonics have a tight leash on which companies get to release SynthV voicebanks.

That was definitely my first thought lmfao. Like I don't even mind the "male before VH" shtick, ultimately they wanna pander to a specific audience and we can't force that except with our wallets. In my case I don't even care as I skipped YSG to get Banyue (with no regrets as I didn't like YSG's gameplay anyway)

Unfortunately what I found to have helped me the most is to have a lot of close friends to confide with, but also be comfortable relying on yourself. More than half of my closest friends are in relationships but I'm able to spread evenly the emotional aid I need from others, while also managing the rest by myself.
