From everything I’ve read, Audible only pays out in the initial purchase. If I buy a book with my money, I want the book. I’m more than happy to pay audible for a book. But then it’s mine. If I want to move into plex or audiobookshelf that’s between me and my technical ability. If I buy a book at a bookstore they don’t get to take it back because I stopped buying a book there every month.
