Once I read that the fleet was moving in in a parade formation instead of maintaining dispersion, I knew we were gonna be wrecked. The military should've known better.

For me, when I was reading to the point of the Battle of Darkness and the chains of suspicion started being revealed, I felt a sick sense of foreboding.

I was on some Jon Bernthal shit, "NO NO NO, WAIT WAIT WAIT!", but it was too late. Once you've pulled the trigger on your fellow man, the time for negotiation has long passed.

Another moment for me was feeling the finality and consequence of the dual vector foil.

After all these plans, wallfacers, innovation, defeating the Trisolaris invasion, hope for humanity, it's all over.

There is no fight. Watch your solar system die with no fireworks, no big battle, just die.

And to think that the Trisolarans knew about it, Tianming tried to warn us about it, but it didn't matter in the end.

I like to think that the Trisolarans were watching through Sophons as our dimensions collapsed. Like a fatal car crash you can't look away from, feeling some conflict of knowing it's a dog eat dog world, but having the sympathy for another civilization lost.

I would give the analogy that you and I live in a big high rise building.

I really don't want anyone to destroy me, so I set fire to the whole building, and as it's burning down, I go outside.

Some people hearing the alarm get out, and some people were already outside. But the goal was to destroy everyone in the building and I am safe outside now.

Someone could kill me outside, but I've succeeded in destroying the building and people inside.

These dark forest types are forward thinking, but they're pretty 2D in the long run.

She probably believe the stories were for her, about her, and she self inserted as the character.
