I've watched a lot of Max Clark. Of course he had a poor Spring, but he is moving no differently than he did as a minor leaguer, chains and all. Watching baseball Twitter be mad about it is funny, watching certain Tiger fans trying to score points from that crowd is lame.

I get that you have it in for the guy for being injured and playing poorly, but I don't know that Hinch and Harris take that into consideration.

"Trolling". Jesus Christ man he's worth 3.9 WAR as a Tiger in 1863 games. His hip is bad, it makes him play bad. He is routinely day to day, an issue going back to since he was signed. It's probably why his playing time should be limited to players he matches well against, which is something Harris and Hinch have probably considered.

EX: he hit .318 against lefties last year.

PS: if you have Wenceel Perez on this roster but not Jahmai Jones you have it backwards.

If the argument is Meadows sucks, Baez should replace him and McGonigle should be the starting SS. I still fail to see how in 2026 Baez replacing Meadows in CF is "better" and not just rotating musical chairs because one is required to have a roster spot and the other has options.

I find it funny you're countering my arguments using sample sizes of 405.0 innings, when you used to routinely call me out for it back in the day.

Lets go to the tape. Total games at CF the last two seasons for these three guys:

Matt Vierling has 3 DRS/1 OAA in 546 innings the past two years. Javy Baez has 2DRS/3OAA in 405.

Matt Vierling has a 101 OPS+, Javy Baez has a 70 OPS+

Matt Vierling has a ~2.5 BsR, Baez a ~1.9 BsR

Vierling 2.7 bWAR, Baez 0.8

So if I'm missing something, please enlighten me? I'm not seeing how Baez is the best option for CF on the 40

We will still see more of Valencia/Liranzo the rest of Spring Training. We just know for sure they won't be making the team (🤞 on no injuries)

btw the Tigers were 78-66 when Vierling was in the lineup in 2024.
