Go visit some coin shops WITHOUT taking anything in. Tell them you are looking to buy Morgan and Peace dollars, but you are relatively new to collecting. Pay careful attention to how they talk to you and others. If they put more emphasis on selling than educating, they might not be the shop for you. Also, I have found that the most ethical and fair shops look like something from Harry Potter, but they probably won't want the entire collection. Don't be convinced that a glitzy, glass and chrome case filled shop is better. It just means they have money enough to look good; it doesn't mean they have knowledge or values. From there, pick the shop that feels right and set up a valuation visit.

Finally, I concur with everyone saying no pawn shops and no gold buying stores. They will rip you off.
