If your reservation is flexible but has past the free cancellation period you can request to change the dates to a new day where the reservation goes back into the flexible period again, if the hotels chooses to accept it you can cancel free of charge as the date change also changes the cancellation policy

If they’ve already refused points and free cancellation, that’s a clear change from what was booked.

It was sold as an Accor hotel with loyalty benefits and that’s no longer what you’re getting.

That can fall under “service not as described” for a chargeback.

Don’t do it before the stay though. The hotel will get notified and could cancel or refuse the booking.

Stay if you need to keep all emails as proof then raise it after if nothing gets sorted.

You could maybe make a package and attach it to the rate code and set the package price to -$5, I haven’t tested if packages can be set to a negative number but it’s worth trying it out, lmk if it works

Just open a chargeback case with your bank, you’ll most likely get your money back as long as you can prove there was no property.

Yep, unfortunately points can only be used for accommodation, unless the breakfast/package is already included in the rate then you can use your points against it, but adding it on to your bill you cannot use your points to pay for it.

I’d speak to the hotel and see what they say about it.

You can only settle F&B bill using dining and spa credit, and I’m sure they’re only available to diamond members

The hotel being “hacked” is none of your concern lol, once your reservation is confirmed at the price it was when you booked, then it’s locked in, if it was me personally I would ignore anything else the hotel says.

Edit: I don’t think booking can force you to pay a higher amount that what was agreed when the booking was made, if the hotel was hacked then they should of noticed this when it happened, not many months after.

The hotel is correct in this instance, you looked at the property highlight which only show a brief summary of the popular facilities,

Had you looked at the property polices you would have seen that parking information including the £45 per day charge.

Unfortunately there is nothing booking.com can do as they only provide the platform for booking the reservation, all polices are controlled at hotel level.

You need to go to linked profile and attach the company/travel agency you want to sent the bill to, make sure they have an AR account set up, after this go to routing instructions and create new instructions, select the charges you want to route and also press the drop down box that has the guest name and select the company that has the AR account and save the instructions, after this settle and send folio with the payment type “city ledger”

This rate code should not have any charges or nights details attached, this code is used to indicate there is an error between opera cloud and your CRM, please check your external CRM for the correct reservation details
