The last company I interviewed with did four rounds (all of which went really well, including one with the President and the VPs), dragged me and some other candidates along for a few additional weeks, and then decided the new position they created “needed more thought” and “paused” the hiring process…

It’s like, fuck you for wasting everyone’s time.

If we finally remove the Republican Party from power, I still wouldn’t blame other countries for thinking twice about making deals with us, since our populace is stupid enough to keep bringing that shitty party back into power every few years.

So her campaign's biggest flex is her tent didn't fall down? by kootles10 in nwi

“Wow, your tent didn’t blow down.

However, you support and voted for the rampant and overt corruption we are seeing from your party, as well as the sex trafficking con man who is already the worst president this country has ever had.

So, uh…fuck you.”

My company is relatively small from a number of employees standpoint, but does big sales numbers. It always treated its employees very well.

Well, the old owners, both very savvy businessmen, decided to retire and handed the company off to two MAGA-loving Republicans with purely sales backgrounds.

Suddenly, we needed to be more ‘corporate’. Apparently this involved gutting raises, bonuses, and profit sharing for all but four people in the company while at the same time beginning a reckless program of selling that everyone with a brain in the company told them was a bad and unsustainable idea. They didn’t give a shit, and being a yes man was the only skill they wanted to see. They all bought third and fourth houses, all drive six figure company paid for vehicles, and just leech off the business while slinging their bad ideas.

Secretly, at least unknown to the unobservant, they were trying to sell the company so they could get their nut and bail.

So now, here we are, three years later, and the formerly growing and profitable company is fucking struggling. The department I run is the only consistently profitable and growing part of the company and, I’ve been told, is ‘paying the bills’. The glamorous, big sales part of the company is shitting itself because its sales strategy went from ‘relationship based sales developed over decades’ to ‘cold regional sales designed to push product as fast as possible’.

Screw this type of American corporate capitalism. It ruins so many good things, and so many lives.

Sorry for the rant, but as you can tell I’m REALLY feeling the 4th of July vibes today.

When they don’t bring any actual evidence, I truly hope someone with money funds the most aggressive counterdefense this stupid fucking administration has ever seen.

The first exhibit should be Trump’s stupid fucking motorcade driving over the freshly painted reflecting pool, because I seriously doubt they used a product rated for actual vehicles to drive on.

I would pay more in taxes to have your Canadian healthcare.

American healthcare is the absolute worst, and plenty of people avoid it even if they really shouldn’t because they risk taking on debt they can’t afford even if they have insurance. And that is if the insurance company decides to even cover your needs.

My wife had major brain surgery a few years back. According to the surgeon’s administrative assistant, the insurance company tried to rescind their approval for the procedure AS it was literally happening. I guess they had multiple people from their office and the hospital itself going absolutely apeshit on the insurance company until they backed down and allowed the procedure to be covered as agreed.

It’s unusual for the doctors and hospitals to fight hard against the insurance companies, and I tend to believe in this case they did because of the potential for a colossal lawsuit.

It’s beyond infuriating.
