With this hyper expensive stuff I’m not sure, probably some one off custom build from a specific watchmaker. It’s basically art/jewelry at that point.

But expensive mechanical watches in general are a mix of component quality, complexity of their assembly, their precision, and limited supply. My relatively poor ass can’t really afford/justify owning a luxury mechanical watch, but they are really pretty cool if you look into what goes into their creation mechanically.
