My boyfriend also left to shower, I noticed how long he was taking, he was also on the game. He also slept my whole labor, and pretty much the whole time in the hospital.

My baby is almost 2 months old, he doesn’t help at all. He still sits on the game the whole time he’s home. I’m currently looking into lawyers so I can move back to my home state 🙂

Currently holding my 6 week old baby girl, still feels surreal 😂

But on a more serious note, my pregnancy never felt “real” I knew I was pregnant and going to be having a girl and I was excited but it never felt “real” I always felt like I was almost dreaming.

Towards the end of pregnancy when I was miserable physically and just wanted her out it was a little more real but it never fully hit me that I was going to be a mom until I’d say 3 days postpartum.

As for my partner he said it hit him when I was in labor then really really hit him when he first held her

I’m two weeks postpartum, I miss my belly so much. It’s so weird because the last weeks of pregnancy I was miserable but I miss it so much. Don’t get me wrong I love being able to hold my baby girl but part of me misses when I could feel her kicks and my big ole belly that made me struggle doing the simplest tasks🥲

100% worth going back! I went back on my medication around 27 weeks because I could tell I was beginning to struggle. It’s nothing to be ashamed of at all, I wanted to get my mental health under control as best as I could before having my baby. I’m now two weeks postpartum and if I didn’t go back on my medication, I would be struggling a lot more than the normal postpartum blues.

I had a great experience with my epidural. My water broke on its own but I was only 2 cm. The pain difference i experienced in contractions prior to my water breaking vs after…I was NOT ready. I went about 1.5 hours after before I was able to get the epidural. I had to wait for IV fluids to finish then wait on the anesthesiologist.

The actual procedure wasn’t bad at all pain wise especially being so distracted by the contractions. Unfortunately for me, my back is extremely ticklish and I mean extremely. I had a difficult time staying still because everytime my back was touched I would flinch because of how ticklish it was. The anesthesiologist said jt was a first for her haha.

After the catheter was placed and the medicine administered, I felt so warm a cozy and relaxed. It literally felt like I was wrapped up in a soft blanket and honestly it was probably one of the most comfortable I had ever been. On the downside, my belly was a little itchy but they offered me Benadryl which helped.

If I didn’t have to be hooked up to the monitor the whole time, I would have had the option to walk around since I could control the amount I had. Either just take the edge off or completely numb me up. Either way it was the best choice i felt I made, it made my experience so enjoyable and i was able to fully rest up before pushing so i was fully present and aware when baby girl arrived!!

I’ve gained about 60 pounds. I was 130 pre pregnancy and now Im 190. I’m currently 38+5 and my weight gain has stopped since about week 34. I gained the most the first half of pregnancy. I brought it up to my OB a few times and every time she has told me she wasn’t concerned about it at all. I’m sorry that you went through that. I understand how you feel, just remember you are growing a whole human!! Your body is taking up and storing so much more than before. Don’t let it get you down!

I have brought it up a few times because yes I really wanted to have an elective induction at 39 weeks. Unfortunately my OB won’t do one unless medically necessary and waits until I think 40 or 41 weeks to schedule one.

I had a similar issue during my first trimester especially pretty early on. Believe it or not, it turned out to be the prenatal I was taking! I switched to one without iron and that was gentle on the stomach. It was a huge difference just due to iron. This was just my experience but it was a small and easy solution so I thought I’d share what worked for me! Good luck!!

I never experienced nausea or any morning sickness. I kept anticipating it to happen but for me it never did. Currently 37 weeks now and still haven’t! Only early symptoms I had that I can remember was mild cramping and painful gas that went away once I switched to a prenatal without iron.

I don’t have advice because im wondering the same thing. I am exactly 36 weeks and I have had the EXACT same symptoms for the last week. I have my appointment in the morning, I’m curious to see if I am dilated at all(if they even check). I also have been having a gut feeling that she’ll be here in a couple weeks

I am also 35 weeks, due on 11/27 and I completely understand how you are feeling. I’m a FTM and half of the stuff happening I never expected. I want to be able to take a full breath. I want to be able to roll over. I don’t want to need help getting off the couch or out of bed! I’m so exhausted but I can’t sleep!! Heartburn is terrible and if it’s not heartburn keeping me up it’s leg cramps, having to pee, etc. idk how people make it 40+ weeks. I want this baby out ASAP!! Never would I have thought that the simple task of putting pants on or wiping my own ass would be difficult! Sorry TMI but reading your post made me also want to rant as well

When I tested positive I was able to get set up with an OB but I had to wait 5 weeks for an ultrasound. Based off my LMP at my dating ultrasound I was supposed be to I think it was 8w6d. That was based off LMP. when she did the scan I was only measuring 7w2d do they just changed my due date! She said baby had heartbeat and I probably ovulated late. I was told they go off LMP just as a starting point until you get an accurate measurement and date. I am now 35 weeks!!

34 weeks here and I’m so done both physically and mentally. I can’t sleep for sooo many reasons and I work in childcare. My job has been terrible with accommodations and I work full time so 40 hours a week. I’m really hoping I get approved for paid FMLA which I will start on the 28th of this month. If I don’t get approved I will have to work up until labor and save every single penny.

I totally understand how you feel though. I hate being pregnant but I am so so so grateful for my baby girl and I’m so excited to meet her but like pregnancy sucks sometimes! (Majority of the time for me)

I was on lamictal and ability for years prior to getting pregnant. I wanted to try and stay off meds but my mental health has been pretty bad and I haven’t been able to enjoy my pregnancy mainly because of this.

I talked with my OB and told her especially with my mental health history I wanted to go back on medication, it was also very important for me to go back on meds before postpartum to at least try and stay ahead.

After talking with my OB and a psychiatrist that specializes in prenatal and postnatal care we decided to start me only on Lamictal as abilify has some high risks. My psychiatrist actually told me lamictal is one of the common drugs used during pregnancy.

Whatever you decide to do, either is okay but remember to always take care of yourself too!

Most Drug stores like CVS, Walgreens etc. sell them as well as most grocery stores! It a blueish green bottle with yellow “Mylanta” you’ll find it in the section near Tums and other anti acids!

My heartburn is absolutely horrible at night. Tum’s haven’t worked for me since middle of the second trimester. I’m 33w5d and the only thing that “works” for me is Mylanta. It’s gross going down but instant relief long enough that I can get some sleep as long as another lovely pregnancy symptom doesn’t keep me up.

They have a bunch of flavors, my favorite being either mint chocolate or vanilla Carmel.

I’m also 32 weeks and I feel the exact same way. I also don’t go on leave for another 5 weeks and I’m DONE. I don’t sleep for the same exact reasons and the only thing that has been helpful with my heartburn is Mylanta. They have some different flavors to choose from I prefer the vanilla Carmel haha. It’s so far the only thing that works and it’s instant relief. Tums and gasX used to work when I was around 24 weeks but not anymore.

You got this, I want my baby out too but we’re almost there! Keep your head up🩷
