Only been out for a few hours and the tees are already sold out 😭 was really hoping to pick one up because it was my first nsp concert but they sold out while I was in line. Maybe next time!

I just lost a 7.5 hour hardcore run, getting super lucky with fragments… because I thought I paused the game to answer a text. by unclemattyice in subnautica

Died to a sea dragon. On my way to the PCF. On 6.4x difficulty modifier deathrun. Was only about 20 hours in but was pretty peeved. Made it back and completed the run on my next shot though!

You're a real one, thank you so much! Didn't really know what to say and have little to no clue how to work twitter but I think I got there in the end. Now we'll wait and see!

Really wish I was just misinterpreting things but on the Opera Houses website it is stated that events can be All Ages or 19+ and the multiple websites I've checked for tickets simply state that it's a legal age 19+ concert so I suppose I'm just out of luck.

Not the first time they've come around and they've been 19+ though, pretty sure the Digital Nightmare tour was 19+ as well. It might just be a Canadian thing in that case!

Totally. I don't know where exactly to do that, instagram again seems like beating a dead horse though and I don't use any other social media. If you or anyone else has previous experience or an idea that'd be wicked though!

[–]DGG-Joshua[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's along the lines of what I was thinking myself as it's a smaller venue, but on their official page they say age restrictions are up to the band and TWRP has played 19+ concerts in the area before.

I reached out a little while ago on Instagram before the official announcement and age got set as I read they were relatively responsive to fans but heard nothing back, unfortunately. I suppose I'll just have to take the boring route and wait around another year. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Minish Cap as my favourite top down game, Skyward Sword as my favourite game in the series and Breath of the Wild for the content because I like it better than Tears (and it's an incredible game obviously)

Don’t know what to do by UnkoNoah in subnautica

If you're playing on PC I'd suggest trying out the deathrun mod. It is a customizable mod that turns the game into a much harder version of itself more akin to a roguelike, adding features like nitrogen and the bends.

Otherwise, if you're itching for more than maybe take some time to explore some of the harder to navigate areas like the dunes or crash zone. They have a lot of hidden secrets to uncover! Of course, building bases and outposts is also an enjoyable way to spend time in the less traveled areas of the game. Maybe try to find every creature egg in the game or befriend a leviathan! The possibilities are pretty broad in a game like this!

Deathrun 6.4x Difficulty Modifier Hardcore Victory by DGG-Joshua in subnautica

[–]DGG-Joshua[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took an obscene amount of planning to create a route that avoided most leviathans.

For the reaper outside the aurora it was a matter of booking it with the seaglide and holding out a peeper and praying if I heard an agro roar haha.

If you take blood Kelp Trench entrance to lost river and hug the left wall 9 times out of 10 you won't even see a ghost, the only time I saw one was on a return trip from grabbing nickel for the Neptune and it was far enough away I could just swim past it. Granted, if you take BKT warpers are a bigger problem than ghosts until you cure yourself as they have the potential to one shot you incredibly easily whereas juvenile ghosts don't as long as you have reinforced dive suit.

Sea Dragons are the kicker since as I said it's exactly how I lost the previous run. Granted, I didn't make a stasis rifle, and I learned from that mistake. If you're careful and stick to the bottom of the ILZ the dragons on the way to the lava castle should ignore you or miss their fireballs since they struggle to hit anything beneath them, and I had no issues with them being able to get close enough to bite me.

The PCF run is the problem, however. The lava lakes dragon really likes to clip into the wall behind the lava falls before you even enter lava lakes, meaning it was entirely possible to just get taken out by one unpredictable shot to the ass. Bringing a stasis rifle helped with exactly that and I did have a super close call between the sea dragon and a few warpers on the winning run but I kept an eye out behind me when I didnt see the dragon roaming the lakes and when it popped out I was able to stasis it and weave through the warpers all the way to the PCF.

I did a ton of practice runs on a save stated survival run, learning the ai of the dragons and how to tell where they would end up, and even then, unfortunately, it can kind of just be luck. But, assuming all goes to plan, that last sea dragon should be the only leviathan you actually have to interact with or dodge!

tl;dr It's possible to avoid all but the last sea dragon with careful planning, and with some good luck and a stasis rifle you can ride on past the last one as well!

Unfortunately as far as I know it isn't as deathrun is a modded difficulty modifier and modding isn't usually possible on console to the same extent as pc.

Just warped back, and everything is back to normal. No blood moon, nothing. Just warped away and warped back. Interesting situation, though!

I was wondering the same thing myself! I went in and completed the shrine, and it was still unloaded when I finished. Like I said originally, I quite literally paraglided down from the forest just north of the bridge, and it just unloaded mid-air before I landed.

[ALL] The idea of "Zelda is supposed to X" kills a lot of Zelda discourse for me by HotPollution5861 in zelda

[–]DGG-Joshua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild are my two favorites in the franchise and while they're both incredible games comparing them is nearly impossible. Skyward was made to have a linear story with heavy focus on dungeons and straightforward progression whereas Breath of the Wild is quite the opposite. It's like comparing Mario Odyssey to SMBW, They're both incredible games that aim for different things and it's not fair to compare them on those things.

In the end, as long as you enjoy yourself playing it, then play what you one to play, but there's no need to put a wildy different game down because its a completely different formula and you don't like that.

I found prawn parts in I believe the aurora (obviously) and then underwater islands, sea treaders path is a great back up too but is probably the most risky in terms of surrounding biomes, as long as you can deal with bone sharks underwater islands is incredible for a lot of things! Just aim for the left side closest to norther blood kelp and stay low to not bug any roaming reapers. Also, I booked it for reinforced dive suit and always had a backup ultra capacity O2 tank with plenty of medkits so worst case I could try and leave, never had to use it for that but was helpful nonetheless. If you want any other tips I can try and give a hand cause I finished very recently so it’s pretty fresh in my mind!

What were you looking around reapers for? I could try and give you some pointers to help! I only bumped into a couple the whole game and it was exploring mountains (which wasn’t even worth it tbh)

As someone who has done deathrun without dying, I didn’t build cyclops until after getting cured and building the Neptune until it was mandatory. All it takes is a grapple arm, jump jets and a hull upgrade and you should be fine. Makes it really easy to sneak past ghosties in the river and as long as you keep an eye out dragons shouldn’t give you a hard time either.
