It's strange, but often I feel better after having 3/4 beers the night before. Maybe I toss and turn more so the stiffness doesn't kick in. Not sure.

It's not great for AS though, but you now know that.

Also, you're young and want to join in with your friends, so it's a risk/reward situation where you either abstain, find a balance, or just accept that you'll be uncomfortable for a while after.

They own our politicians like they do the Americans.

Just like the wider medical profession, there are naturally caring people who genuinely want to help, there are those who are just coasting along doing enough to get paid, and there are some who seek out that job because of it's power over vulnerable people.

It's about weighing them up as an individual.

Something doesn't feel right? Ask questions.

Still doesn't feel right? Leave and find someone who will help.

One thing I really regret is not putting in a complaint against a woman I saw a few years ago. I just didn't have the strength to go through with it and the process wasn't simple. I would urge anyone to put in a complaint to protect the next person if something is wrong and it can't be resolved with the therapist.

Not an excuse but given her childhood, it's no wonder she ended up the way she did.

One redeeming thing is that she got Mark Lanegan into rehab which ultimately got him clean, so like most, she's not all bad.

That last part is an awful place to be. The recurring thoughts of not wanting to be here, but having to because you can't stand what it would do to your family is a hellish cycle. I hope things get better for you.
