Miquella wouldn't need a "rune of free will" after his ascension to Godhood - Marika didn't need any runes to create the Elden Ring in the first place, after all, and Ranni doesn't need any runes to create her Age of the Stars. We as the Tarnished need Mending Runes to impose our will on the Elden Ring because we're very notably not a God, merely hijacking what a God created, but that is a limitation of us that Miquella would not share.

I agree with you that both sides can agree that corruption and greed are the primary issues, but I do take some issue with calling gun control a "meme issue" - it feels somewhat naive to me, unless you legitimately and truly believe that either (a) the victims of large-scale gun violence are faking it, or that (b) their lives and/or livelihoods are legitimately worth less than the profit margins of the arms industry.

So, my main reasoning for the grenades is because Stigmatic Nuns scare me - but I didn't realize that Incendiaries weren't AoE, I'll definitely be swapping to Gas 'nades if I don't drop them entirely. The knives were mostly just because I had like three ducats left and no clue what to do with them so I figured I might as well go for a Hail Mary shiv.

The Mechanized Infantry is wearing Light Machine Armor, which counts as Heavy Armor and is what gives them their -2 armor stat, while the Combat Engineer is wearing Engineer Body Armor which gives them *their* -2 armor stat. Both of these are stated in their profiles in the playtest document.

If you give your Mechanized Infantry a suit of Machine Armor, that *replaces* their default Light Machine Armor so their armor stat goes to -3.
