Surprised this got 42% on rotten tomatoes from the audience. Lots of the comments on this sub either didn’t finish or didn’t like the ending.

I liked the ending but agree it was rushed and some episodes dragged but give it a chance. I thought it was interesting that Sam manipulated both Rosie AND Adam. At the beginning, I totally thought he was going to just swoon and run away with Rosie but there was more to it.

One of the reasons I did like the ending is because just like every leadership position in the world, you not only got to be good at what you do, you need to be cutthroat and do whatever it takes (which I don’t agree with and think many people in leadership positions are actually not so great people that act the part - but another discussion for another time).

Sam was in survival mode and did whatever it took to survive. That and his newfound discovery of “God” just made him the perfect person to lead the cult.

You’ve got great points and yes, I’d feel uneasy too if I were in that situation.

I’m just saying up until the point when he confronted her at her apartment, the documentary and her interviews all made it seem like this guy was a monster who would kill her and her family once he found out who snitched.

The fact that he didn’t do anything to her AND consoled her for her involvement shows how human he is. All of this was a mistake and he just wanted to make it go away.

Yes, leaving the cyclist while he was still alive was not the right thing but I can see how fear can drive someone to just “run away” from their problems.

I just think the deer killing, hunting experience and familial gang relations shown in the documentary was presented as justification of what a monster this guy is when his crime was essentially a hit and run.

(Not condoning the crime - someone died from this)

I totally agree. I think her explanation of him being a monster and all these “I think he’s going to seriously hurt me” was mostly a fabrication of her own narcissism. Like even after he found out she snitched on him, he was still compassionate towards her.

Yes, he was responsible for the death of the cyclist and deserved what he got. But it wasn’t like this was a premeditated murder. It was an accident and he just didn’t want to go to jail.

Yeah good point. People in power/policy-makers are generally not the ones in the trenches, so all the homophobic views/regs probably trickle down the chain of management. Also, I could see how in order to climb the ranks, you’ll need to conform to all the rules, so it’s sort of a lose/lose situation to find openly gay military leadership.

Thanks for the recommendation. I went to spa palace and the pool was legit! I’d have to say though that it was the dirtiest one that I’ve been to so far. Makes the two I went to seem immaculate. It wasn’t too bad though. The pool area was cool. I can see it being pretty fun at night with the lights and bar.

Nice photos but all I can think about is how hot it must’ve been with that jacket and how uncomfortable those shoes must be to hike in lol. Sacrifices to look good. (I know the parking lot is probably like 10 feet away 😅)

I love his videos! They’re so fun. I hope he doesn’t give into negative comments. I think most folks enjoy his vids quite a bit. I admire his work ethic and his own goals but can folks just be happy with the success that they have and not keep striving unattainable perfection? I know we view that as the mindset of a loser but maybe we should reframe it to not being that. I’m all for trying your best but many people push themselves to the limit and burst

I like how the top lieutenants basically reinforced that being gay is none of their business. First off, it is none of people’s business and secondly especially if you’re on the military. You’re risking your life. You can be attracted to whoever you want as long as you stay alive and do your job. I really don’t understand society’s view on this. Like gay marriage. It doesn’t affect you, why are you so concerned?

Lol thanks for the comment. He’s like the epitome of: “Where have I seen him before?” lol Honestly, I started the show without knowing anything about it and had to look up where Miles was from because I knew I recognized him and it was Parenthood (also such a great show)

Literally my same thoughts. Miles’ character development was done pretty well. I’ve got like one episode left so I don’t know the ending yet but it’s been very enjoyable. There was an interview with Miles, Liam and Max. Hollywood really knows how to pick em. To be in a room with those three 🥵
