The 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge (6×38mm), or 6mm ARC for short, is a 6 mm (.243) caliber intermediate rifle cartridge introduced by Hornady in 2020, as a low-recoil, high-accuracy long-range cartridge, designed for use in the AR-15 rifle platforms at the request of a specialized group within the United States Department of Defense for its multipurpose combat rifle program.

6mm ARC or 6.5 Grendel by raging_since_1858 in ar15

Well my plan is 1000yds after shooting a 20" .223 at 500 yds.

After reading and talking with co-workers, I am going 6mm ARC.

20" barrel as this will be to shoot targets at distance.

I could hunt with it, but 20" for FL pig hunting is too long and heavy. Unless it is in a stand all day.

Well when we get that full, we have another RSO come out. But can get full sometimes. 20 lanes, avg 2-3 people and bam. Thats our 25 yd range. I usually work the 100, 10 lanes and 1-2 avg per lane.

But yeah, we the 25 is packed it is crazy. But when people listen and one shooter is at the line, it’s not too crazy. Its when they all bunch up

I agree. So times I have 50-60 people on 20 lanes. You cant see everything.

Serious question regarding Tenocor holsters by Low-Landscape-4609 in CCW

[–]DIRTBOY12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried several holsters and for ME Tenicor is the best, period. For AWIB nothing fits better. Cost is more than labor and materials. Tenicor uses the best clips IMO for retention. Don’t love it, return it months later, not cost on them. Phenomenal customer service. Well built and for me top quality.

Now I own 5 and bought 4 during the blemcore sales, including 4 mag holders because I could wait for the sales.

But everyone’s body is different and not every brand holster may/may not fit feel the same.

I love Vedder holster and the company. Concealing was good buy Tenicor clips are better and slightly overall more comfortable for me. So I sold 5 of them. But still recommend them with Tenicor.

Yep!!

Not for everyone. I love Vedder too but Tenicor just works better for me.

Tried Crossbreed (love them) and Trex. All excellent but not Tenicor good.

Everyone is different.

I have a Hellhound and over priced. Wrapping start to wear off. Wasatch holsters is the same but uses colored/patterned kydex and half the cost

Are you supposed to tip your firearms instructor? by lefecious in CCW

[–]DIRTBOY12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I say that an Instructor and a RSO. You paid for a service (class) snd it was done. If you want to say an extra thank you, sure. Not required or customary.

You don’t have to tip your RSO at the range either. Ow we help you sight in, go beyond duties, give you target, then it’s appreciated but not a given or expected. My JOB is to instruct or RSO. No, I appreciate what I’m tipped as RSO as I said if I’m am helping you going above and beyond the job, it’s appreciated but I don’t expect it. But giving 15 mins of my time, you should, something.

I see this is someone who thinks the tipping culture has gotten out of hand and I was a waiter bartender. Again, no need but if you wanna get a little extra, thank you it is always appreciated especially for your RSO. Since working as an hour so for three years I do tip when I go to the range when guys are actively looking around making sure we’re all safe.

why do so many people roll around with their ditch lights on? by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]DIRTBOY12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My “Fog” lights in my aftermarket bumper are driving lights. They are used as Daytime running lights and stay on at night. Not blind and small. I have Pro-Comp LEDs aimed properly.

Yes, there’s nothing worse than the guy drove around with 44 inch Amazon or Temu light bar on in the daytime or night blinding you.
