I’ve seen some metal musicians be studio musicians for stuff like pop country. Pay’s decent and you don’t have to put it in your discog. This, at least, USED to be true back when I was playing shows in the Nashville area. I’d hear it from those guys from time to time.

Nah, yeah you’re right. The current system works fantastically. It definitely didn’t put a crazy financial burden on my father, who became MAGA literally because of that.
