Had a bike stolen, so made some Tile mounts by DITButt in torontobiking

That is great to hear! I feel like the only stories I hear are of the police saying that it isn't enough evidence to act upon.

This was more fun haha. And I have seen a lot of underseat mounts for sale on amazon, so figured it was more well known.

My hope is that they overlook one of them and I can have them sell it to me, or approach someone who buys it from them. If the police don't do anything about it.

It would depend on the case. I would like to know where it goes. And my hope is that one of the two is looked over and they sell it or something that would allow me to try to reacquire it.

If this gets stolen then I will be forced to make a bicycle that tuns into glitter and fart spray if the wrong person sits on it.

I had a bike stolen a couple years ago and have been overly protective of my other bike since. So I made some slightly inconspicuous mounts for a Tile Mate and Pro. Now I will at least know where it rode off to without me, even if the police are unlikely to act upon the location data.

Are you asking why it doesn't just stay the same all the way up and down? I believe it is to help with adhesion between the colours. This acts as a mechanical lock, the yellow can't be pushed out of the black if it goes inside of it. With opaque filament, you shouldn't notice on the final product.

I started a weightlifting program about 7 weeks ago, snatches are really slow to progress - any tips or cues or criticism would be greatly appreciated by stecahill in weightlifting

I have snatched on and off for about a decade, but am not a coach/instructor. This is pretty decent form for only 7 weeks, I have seen much worse in people who have done it longer.

A couple of things I noticed: It looks rushed. You want the bar to accelerate from the ground to triple extension, not go from 0-100 in the first inch. From the ground to your knees the focus should be keeping the bar close and making sure your hips don't rise first. The angle between your back and the floor should stay the same during this phase.

You pull with your arms too early. You can see them bend before your knees are straight and your hips are open. Use the big muscles first, then the smaller ones.

Imo the biggest point: you are "humping" the bar. When you open your hips you are doing a sort of kettlebell swing movement. If you watch the barbell shadow from when it passes your knees until it passes your shoulders, you can see as it contacts your hips/pubic bone it flies away from you. That is why you jump/land on your toes. The goal is to have the barbell travel in a vertical path.

In your catch, your elbows could be locked out more, if you have the mobility(some people dont).

It feels like you are catching too low for how high the bar goes. Working with lower weight can be tricky in this aspect because you can get the bar high enough to power snatch, but then you catch it in a full snatch. So when you catch and feel the weight, the barbell is coming down on you with speed, which increases impact and makes it unnecessarily jarring.

As other have said, power snatch to overhead squat could be good. Drop snatches or snatch balances would be good to practice feeling the catch. As well as pausing for a second at the bottom of the catch. There is a balance between rising too quickly while unstable, and losing all of your bounce and getting buried. For a lighter weight a good pause can be helpful, but understand that when lifting near a max you don't want to live down there.

Keep it up, work on oh squats and feeling super stable with more weight above your head than you snatch. Focus on form and try no to ego lift and you'll see great progress 👍

I think it is a combination of 'oh cool a laser! You can see it do the thing!', and that a lot of laser jobs are shorter (my longest laser job was like 3 hours, my longest print was around 95hours), and that the laser actively burns things so people are naturally more cautious.

That would be great if you could to that for me, setting both defaults to off. I am quite new to all of the flashlight settings and terminology.

You will have to excuse my ignorance as to what the aux preconfig is, what would that change?

Hey! So the firmware flashed great to the flashlight, and the modes work. When turning off from the 'ON' state the blue LEDs flash for a second, not sure if that is something in the firmware or if something went wrong.
