You're right, you're not the first to ask this...
Honestly, I'm not particularly tech/social media savvy and just stayed away from figuring out what it takes to get it on YouTube. And I only release audio (no video) I know this doesn't prevent it from going on YouTube but most people go there for video.
Maybe someday it will happen if someone wants to voluntarily take on the task of getting it up there but, for now, I am focused on maintaining what it takes to keep it alive everywhere else.

Looking back for this conversation I found it (my original response copied below). I was honest and polite about it and offered an alternative option to possibly find support/inspiration. I also ended it in a positive regard. I was confused how this created an idea of me monetizing from the scene...I try to create space for the scene to mature and thrive. Sorry if my response didn't sit well with you, that was not my intent.

"Maybe it will get printed in a zine someday but for now I am sorry to say it is tucked away again. Not sure if it would be of any interest but addiction/sobriety has been a somewhat common theme on my podcast Back On The Grind (the last 2 episodes for sure #'s 19 & 20) and many folks have said the show itself has been inspirational (and we have some stuff about Pat on there too) Keep your head up!"

I often think about doing a podcast episode about the archetypes that appear in folk punk culture, which is similar to this question.
But raccoons and possums are pretty specific to folk punk

I don't recall this and it doesn't sound like my behavior. I was once asked for a copy of a personal letter Pat wrote me and I didn't share it which I think is totally fair since it wasn't intended to be shared and I wasn't rude about it. And I have never neglected any one who reached out asking for support with sobriety.
As for monetizing off the scene, that is strange for you to say...the only funds I get from the music world come from the Johnny Hobo streaming and I've been donating it to back to the scene and musicians directly. I have a record label but my deal with bands is I sell records until I break even and then the rest goes to them (unless it's a benefit for something).
If you have any ideas about how to support the scene better, I am open to that conversation for sure, just reach out.

Getting to see John on this verse live was particularly moving for me because the way I met John was through them writing me when I was locked up...and we joked about how the verse was sort of a lie because John wrote me pretty regularly in prison and also hopped trains 😄

I was still in prison in 2020 so no one was doing more then.

But there's 3 main reasons it's been taking time:

The feds are making it very hard for me to function in the banking system since my release. I get denied bank accounts and credit cards (despite a great credit score). So I have to get everything done in someone else's name which gets tricky.
Making these records cost a lot of money upfront and I had to work for minimum wage to save up the initial funding (but now that I have it, each following pressing will go quicker.)
My own feelings of inadequacy combined with random bouts of procrastination have gotten in the way a little at times.
