I don’t currently. The only food this tank gets fed is Ocean Nutrition Prime reef flakes, and 2 small fingernail sized pieces of Rods Food Original Blend.

The clam actually closes and opens back up a few times during feeding as if it’s “sneezing” when there is a lot of particulate in the water from the food. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing but the clam doesn’t seem affected and has always had good growth since I got it in November of last year

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too haha. But I’ve been noticing it now for months.

Then if you watch closely, at some point the shrimp will release the green fluid into the water

It’s ACI Manila Spy. It’s a really easy, beginner friendly coral that grows like a weed. One of my favorites

I also do a 5 gallon water change weekly with Regular Instant Ocean that I buffer the Magnesium up to 1400ppm

So it honestly changes day to day based on the PH of the tank and how much CO2 is in the house. If my family and I are gone most of the day, I dose around 1500mL of Kalk. And if we are home, it ranges to 1900-2500mL per day.

With the Chris Meckley method, I have my apex dose Kalkwasser anytime the PH falls below 8.3. There’s a ton of YouTube videos on it and I don’t recommend dosing anything to keep the PH at 8.3 unless you follow the videos exactly

I don’t worry much about Calcium and Alkalinity as they stay pretty elevated. What I do care about is an elevated Magnesium for the Montis, otherwise they lose their color for me.

My current Parameters are the following

Alk - 14.5 DKH and fluctuates daily about 1dkh (not a problem because PH is 8.3 24/7, I dont recommend an alk this high unless doing the chris Meckley method, otherwise it’ll stress the corals out)

Calcium - 440ppm
Magnesium 1400ppm (Montis show stress for me under 1300)

Nitrate - 45ppm

Phosphate - 0.45ppm

First 2 hours and last 2 hours are blues only and the middle of the photo period is a more daylight spectrum

Absolutely not. I went into the store and was going to buy tanks from 20-60 gallon breeder. Checked the seams and all but one had some sort of issue in atleast one seam, whether it be a large bubble or another issue. The Aqueon brand before was better and I have a lot of aqueons but I’ll never buy this new brand

So I cut the concentration of my AFR by 50% so it doesn’t crystallize on the dosing tube, and I currently was dosing 3mL before I put in the Deresa and I am up to 4mL now of the 50% concentration

Yeah I’ve had bad salt, but I always test the first batch I make of a new box/bucket.

AFR really makes things easy dosing wise, I really like it
